From your first link...
What a surprise! Not really.
Under 1% of all Covid deaths are 34 or younger.
Also, people over the age of 54 account for 97.18 percent of total COVID deaths.
As stated, a statistical anomaly.

36.5 percent of adults are obese. Another 32.5 percent of American adults are overweight So 70% of the country accounted for 80% of the cases?

Of note, Yahoo was just an aggregator for this story. It has been reported for 2-3 days prior on various new sites from the Boulder/Denver area local to national including the NY Post.
Fair enough.
Nonetheless, I will wait to see if more info comes out about any potential issues concerning prior medical.
I mean, if he had issues (childhood leukemia...whatever) and he still chose his path, then he chose poorly.
If it is just because he was fat, and it is a “from Covid” deal, then it is still a statistically anomaly based on what I have read.

any potential issues concerning prior medical.

I didn’t state otherwise, hence the clarification from the start (and clarified even further later).
Reading comprehension amigo.

Google his name. It's sick the the celebration dances the media is doing with this. Just like the OP.
What’s sick is how these “news” organizations search the covid death rolls and cross reference social media posts to then dunk on them.

Honestly it’s sad, and people in positions of influence that put out anti vax propaganda have blood on their hands here, just like the covid Karen’s have blood on their hand for the lives they ruined with their lockdowns
Jackasses all around on completely opposite ends of the spectrum
You and Obstuse1 are the only people with reasonable non-partisan responses in this thread.

Well said.

They found one.
What difference does it make. The guy died. It was his choice. He could have die from the vaccine too. That's what this is all about. People being able to make their own decisions. It's that simple.
We dont need to be forced to do one or the other.

Making this a story is nothing but a sick victory lap. The guy made his choice.
There are options out there now. Get the vaccine or not. The ones being sanctimonious are just as bad as they claim this guy to have been. Shameless opportunists.

Biggest take away is do what you choose, but don’t be an obnoxious prick about it. If you are for the vax great, if you are against it even if people agree ...you do you.
Why does every issue and stance require grandstanding these days? It’s a never ending cycle of triggered and woke on the left and right.

I’m starting to think you don’t really know what that phrase means.

It is pedantic but an anomaly is generally considered different from an outlier though casually some people use them as synonyms. An outlier is usually considered to be a valid datapoint well away from the median and or average where an anomaly would require a different process to explain and on the face looks more like an invalid data point. The person in question would technically be considered an outlier but not an anomaly.

There are many more anti-vaxxers who will continue to be obnoxious pricks about the vaccine on social media and go on living for another 50-60 years. This is just one person people can point to and laugh at.

Yeah but the odds are significantly higher of dying from Covid vs dying from the vaccine. Making it sound like an even odds choice is just silly.

This isn’t a 33 year old with a gut. This guy was massive. Know that out of control obesity is a major contributing factor and being exposed to the prison population should have driven him to lose massive weight or take the vaccine.

That is what probably 50% of the baws in Louisiana look like... probably 70% of this board is built like him

Was thinking it was sad for the OP to not link where this info came from. The sad part of the Yahoo article is they didn't link the original article.
Daily mail article has great pictures.
Anyone his size should have been careful, and should have been vaccinated.

Despite all of that, the odds were still well in his favor that he would survive the disease. But, he didn’t. Quite unfortunate.
