Perkins doesn’t go through LSU.

In that neighborhood, it’s most likely a domestic incident.

I hope you are right. Not that someone was killed in a DV fight but that it wasn't a robbery/break in or something like that.

Yeah, but there are some rent houses that are often occupied by people that sell weed in the area. Either way I assume a robbery.

Could have been a vehicle targeted that was driving through the neighborhood.

Holy shite. My dad lived on Cedardale for a long time when I was in my teens. I spent many a night on that street.

Well Giblet Chambers can eat a dick on this story. It's old but one of my favorite piles of bullshite he spouted.

Rouge Collection Rant that The Advocate mentions SU more than LSU when crime happens nearby

Considering how many crimes happen just off campus from Southern coughWaydeSimscough, it is a lot easier to notice the mention.

Most other crimes happening “by LSU” are likely in Tigerland or in the shitty areas like the state streets or outside the gates. To where people would already be familiar with where it is.

Most of the rented houses are college kids or recent graduates.

Had friends that lived a block away from there and it's a very family friendly neighborhood.

Yeah but you can cut through Cedardale to Morning Glory or straight to Lakeshore and get over to Dalrymple or Acadian to get to LSU really easily. We used to ride our bikes that way on the bike paths to ride around campus.

Same with Ferndale. It's pretty easy access that way from the Perkins road exit off of 10.

First the Benny's and now here. That's a little too close for comfort for this part of town.
