In my four years as a Prime subscriber, I've been inside a WalMart about 10-12 times. That's worth $99 to me.

Amazon Prime is the kryptonite to WalMart's General Zod.

Fighting traffic and crowds and brain dead workers qualifies as "getting out"?

I'd rather spend my getting out time camping or doing fun things thanks.

Who pays that much for Prime? Mine is $49. Plus I have a family member on there. So anything over 7 orders is basically free delivery.

This weekend only they are running a new member special of $73 (first year only)...otherwise it's normally $99.

Probably will pick up another 100,000 customers this weekend.

I have a family member who works in management at Amazon. It's a fcking amazing company.

You can't understate how valuable the monthly diaper deliveries are

Easily.

Netflix is 8 bucks a month. Hulu is 12.

For 8.33$ a month, I get another streaming service, plus music,
Plus savings on items and 2 day shipping, all with incredible customer service.

Hell, that's the cost of less than 2 beers. Plus I have a bunch of people who use my account to ship presents.

People pay more than that per month for many of the box subscriptions that are just a box full of crap.

It's so worth it.

Don't have to pay sales tax either. No telling how much I've saved on that.

An "amazing company" that has lost money literally like 20 of the 21 years it has been in business.

If they've been in business 21 years and survived when other juggernauts have failed, I'd say they've done something right.

If you're on your phone you have to go to the desktop version.

Otherwise, just click on your account. It will bring up the index with all of the links. Under your orders you can click create order history.

Every single thing I order from Amazon appears to be some shitty returned item that someone else didn't want. I'll never order from that POS company again.

This is why Amazon is bad.

You think it's a great deal. But you have to use Netflix, Hulu, and all sorts of things in order to justify that.

If you purchase more along the lines of what you need, rather than what you want, it quickly becomes a giant waste of money. Also, if you look for what will suffice, it quickly becomes a waste.

A book I've been searching for a long time is $55 new, $35 used on Amazon. Found it local for $17. It doesn't take long for a prime membership to become a bad move financially.

Plus Amazon is just a terrible company.

Just had a mild issue with one of their policies, they quickly responded with a ruling in my behalf, so I'm even more into them than before.

Justify? No. I piss away 9 bucks on my own every week easy. Acting like 100 bucks a year is some large amount is bollocks.

I value my TIME.

The fact that, if I realize I need something, I can grab my phone, find it for less than I would in a local store, not have to deal with traffic, not have to deal with idiotic cashiers, and all without having to put pants on, is a huge bonus to me.

What are you taking about?

You get a streaming music and video service, plus 2-day delivery on a multitude of products, all from the convenience of wherever the hell you are.

I get Christmas several times a week. I come home to a package and open it up and WOW!

A new knife! A new baking dish! An herb garden! Stuff for my kids.

Stuff if I went to the store to get, I'd end up with a ton more shite I don't need.

And I can find books for pennies on Amazon with a couple bucks shopping. Or get them streamed to the Kindle.

The future is great.

This has happened to me numerous times thanks to Smart Post. Getting free stuff is nice, but I'd pay a little bit extra to ensure my stuff is sent Fedex or UPS.
