Another reason why I shop 95 % of time at Amazon

Purchased Saxx Boxers on 1/13/2016 and selected free Prime delivery.
Delayed, unknown reason. Not expected in until 1/19/2016 at earliest.
E-mailed Amazon and they told me to keep the boxers and are refunding me back $29.95 (I didn't ask for refund; was given to me).
It's one of the reasons why they continue to get my business, because they will do whatever it takes to make things "right."

Also one of the reasons they can't turn a profit

I refuse to use Amazon. Reading about how the company works and my dealing with some people in the company - have no use for that organization.

Well, that wasn't vague. Thanks for the clear explanation.

Its employees choose to work there. They are free to work elsewhere. Some people enjoy the grind and working on the most exciting things in the world.

Do elaborate, however it won't stop me from using them.

They make money, just not the huge profits that wallstreet instant magic investors want.
Jeff continually re-invest a great deal of earnings into the company for the future.

Marriott (Ritz) and Disney are right up there as well in terms of "customer" service.

So you have "free" Prime delivery...
Tell me again how paying them a $99 membership fee each year equates to being "free"...

My apologies, they are turning a slight profit this year after losing $241 million last year. However, that timing also coincides with increased use of the USPS which effectively means the company is being supported by the taxpayers.

Marriott (Ritz)
Back to Amazon, with Prime I get free next day and sometimes even same day in my market (DC). That should be expanded beyond the 7 or 8 markets that currently have it soon.

Seeing as I get a streaming movie service with it, kindle access, and no extra shipping costs (2-day!) not to mention money back if it isn't 2-day, plus the best customer service anywhere, it's as good as free.
I get well over 100$ worth of discounts on top of my savings every year

171 orders in 2015.
132 orders in 2014.
183 orders in 2013.
93 orders in 2012.
579 total orders and I have spent $178.00 for the privilege of "free shipping," excellent and liberal return policy and free return labels.
I guess you can find better?

I have yet to ever purchase anything through Amazon
