The bigger issue is that this doctor just isn't smart. Sure, she memorized enough material to get through med school, etc., but she exhibits a severe lack of common sense with this post. An inability to understand nuance is not a desired attribute in the medical profession.
Further, allowing yourself to become so entrenched in a political ideology that the death of children is mocked with a "bless your heart" screams of mental instability.
I had a high school "friend" post something similar on FB yesterday. My jaw about fell off of my face. Thankfully, she was utterly roasted to a crisp in the comments and took it down.

Well, a lot of parents (I am one) told their pediatricians not to give their kids the COVID shots. She was probably incensed by this. Our pediatrician's nurse just asked if we wanted them and I said no and no further discussion was had, but I know of others who had pediatricians pushing the shots very, very hard to the point of awkwardness and in two cases the parents changing doctors.

The key difference is that the severity of the California wildfires is largely the result of policy failures, whereas the Texas floods are not. Sadly, a lot of those people in Cali did get what they voted for.
