I will bet that our military in Afghanistan cannot shoot people in that scenario.

“Do not reach towards the small of your back or we will shoot you!!!” the officer with the AR screams.
Less than 10 seconds later the idiot reached towards his back.
Bang!
Am I missing something?
frick you and anyone that thinks this is ok. Use of deadly force is allowable when there is a clear and present threat. You don't get to kill someone bc they are too drink to follow ridiculous commands. The guy was clearly drunk as shite (someone else posted .29 BAC). He should have been cuffed while laying face down and clearly complying. The cops should have been able to figure out that he was unarmed while laying face down. He never should been given ridiculous commands that sober people could have trouble following. It's Obvious he wasn't reaching for a weapon. It looks like he was trying to pull up his shorts that were falling.
Cops should not be able to execute someone for not complying unless they are actually in a threatening situation. NO ONE can watch that and honestly say that the victims posed a threat at any time . Any cop that feels threatened in that situation shouldn't be a cop in the first place.

His analysis doesn't deserve a "frick you and the horse you rode in on"...
I'm all about less LE, etc. But civilians should know in this situation they are just screwed...until it deescalates, people should lay flat, don't move a twitch, hands on head...
10 seconds is not enough to dial it down in a gun search...
I get it, the cop is portrayed as a high strung jackass, and if so all that's true fine...but to say it's easy to convict someone based on rule of law is ridiculous...the cops don't have control until the perps are detained
For the record, I don't like it either/at all...until laws change, though...it is what it is

Why was the cops called out? Was the cop in full battle rattle? What for?

When are we gonna start holding these sons of bitches accountable?

You are an idiot. If that guy would have just laid flat he would have been shot for not following commands. He was getting shot no matter what in that scenario! People like you are the reason cops beat these cases. Your a joke!

This attitude is why cops think they are above the law and can execute whoever they please.

Incomprehensibly retarded statements like this are why no one takes any of these situations seriously.

Unfortunately too much of the population, especially older people think of cops as Andy Griffith and not the low iq thugs they really are, or ex military pyschos who spent a few months on an airbase in Afghanistan and think they are Rambo.

except the cop told him he would kill him if he did that (not follow directions to crawl towards him with legs crossed and hands interlocked in front of him while rubbing his belly and scratching his head)

He is a cop. He wears blue. He cannot be wrong.
This is what makes people so angry. No justice when a cop commits a crime.

Sorry didnt realize this was english class. Why do people over 35 worship police officers? They are really just a sense of false security. Everytime I actually had a problem and went to them, they never helped. Im looking at you Jefferson Parish, and thats suposed to be the “better” parish.

I also believe the guy in South Carolina was rightfully convicted earlier today.

But this one is much more heinous. It was calculated cold blooded murder. If a jury were allowed to watch that video, I do not understand how they could return a not guilty verdict.
Again, spot on. This was murder. No two ways about it.

What the frick else would you expect this guy to say? I don't understand how this is allowed to be viable testimony. You don't honestly think the president of the officers union is not going to support his officer do you? If he didnt, the entire police force and all the union members could be deemed incompetent.

Well, watch the video. You'll change your mind.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

No, he was sentenced to prison for violating civil rights after pleading guilty in federal court. It never went to a jury.
The state murder case ended in a hung jury.
It is incredibly difficult to get a jury to convict a police officer.
