Were those two people even the correct suspects? Has anyone confirmed that they were from 502?
The woman looked confused as shite that that cops were there.

just can't get passed the fact the guy was crying.
No dude. He complied immediately with every single command they gave him while crying and begging not to be shot. He was clearly not a threat and they handled that situation horribly.
It's evidence of how horribly they handled that situation by their actions after the shooting. If they didn't cuff him because if a security concern down they hallway they running up to him and past him immediately after shooting him doesn't make sense.
That's the one thing we always say. Just he calm and be polite and do what your told and you'll make it through. This flies in that face of that principle. And they should make an example of these cops.
I'm going to bow out this thread now. It's going to turn into a troll fest trying to compare this to blatant resisting arrest shootings and cop bashing and eventually immigration and Trump and I can't handle that today.

And why did the judge suppress the body cam footage? Anyone know?
Sounds like the jury saw the video, but it was not released to the public until after the verdict

from Slate
" Judge George Foster agreed that the media should not get its hands on the full video evidence, even though the videotape was central to a case of intense public concern and was shown in open court."

I am guessing that the judge considered it inflammatory. I won't speak to what should or shouldn't happen to the policeman, but that man should still be alive. I'm not sure he was reaching for "the small of his back". I couldn't watch over and over, only once, but I thought he was just drunk and off balance.

Good lord. How did the jury frick that up?
What evidence are we missing here?

and before the boot lickers try to paint this as an isolated bad apple..
"Nate Gafvert, president of the Mesa police union, which has supported Brailsford, said the trial took an emotional toll on both Brailsford's and Shaver's family. He defended Brailsford, saying the former officer followed his training the night of the shooting."
A corrupt and militaristic police culture created this monster. It's not one crazy cop. How many times has the union not supported one of these loons? Cop unions are as bad as BLM.

Then he was trained horribly, that department should be fired, and Gafvert should be prosecuted

It was his pellet gun. But it wasn't him that pointed it out of the window.
He only met the girl an hour or so earlier in the hotel elevator.

The police officer yelling instructions and the one that shot deserve to be publicly executed. They gave these people hard to follow instructions by yelling at them angrily telling them to move not move shut up not shut up.
They could have cuffed him when he had his hands latched on his head like so many other arrests we have all seen.
These guys give police a bad name.

Any cop that thinks any of that was OK needs to resign yesterday. There is a reason the murderer is no longer employed, or employable. Others who walk in his shoes know he is a murderer.

The guy yelling orders should be fired as well. He got things to the point where his co-worker shot the guy.

It's pretty obvious these guys are in the wrong profession and can't handle the stress of the job. They think they're in Afghanistan.

I agree. He not only deserves to be fired. He is complicit in the homicide.
After finding out there was another guy doing the shouting, I think 2nd degree murder was the correct charge.

100% agree. No situational awareness at all. No ability to command a situation.

After watching that, I'd actually have to agree with you for once. That cop deserves a horrible death. Those guys are a bunch of pussies and the policies/training needs revamped. That should have been over in a matter of 30 seconds once the two occupants were on the floor in the hall. Maybe these pussies need to have the military come handle their shite when there is a possibility of a gun involved. I will say in the very last moment before he fired it looked as though he could have reached for a gun and the cop was right to fire then, but why are they making them crawl to them. Why not tell them not to move or we'll fire as they approach and handcuff them when they were on the ground...

You know what would've been justice?
First you make the cop drink a handle of Jim Beam and wait 20 minutes.
You then go get a trigger happy guy and give him a rifle.
You then tell the cop on trial he's been found not guilty, but first he has to crawl from one side of the courtroom to the other on his knees and with his legs crossed and his hands in the air and if he falls he's going to be shot dead. Then you have a guy scream at him constantly while the rifle guy stays aimed at his head.
The cop faulters or loses his balance? Shoot him dead.

Why not just go up and cuff him while he is spread eagle on the ground?
I wondered the same thing. I support law enforcement but this shooting and the black guy in South Carolina who was shot in the back after a traffic stop are the most disturbing and in my estimation, not justifiable.
