I honestly don’t know the answer to this but how is it legal for them to not pay?

Gambling is not supposed to be fair. That’s the point.

Correct.

Based on the context of the video and what's been presented, it "appears" the house lost.

Why is he saying he won 500K - either he doesn't understand gambling or is dumb
because that’s what the casino owes him. Theyre holding his $150k bet too. He’s correct if he says his payout is $500k

They call gambling a tax on the stupid for a reason. It’s essentially a dishonest venture from the ground up.

they refused to pay him (this was a few years ago) - They said there was a glitch in the software

I'm assuming they will pay out when the glitch in the software doesn't pay out when it is supposed to

I read that in Ray Liotta’s voice.

Placed the bet online it looked like. They posted his ticket on instagram. If that was the case a max bet would’ve been in place and he never would have been able to place the bet in the first place if that were the case.

If u place a bet online u wouldn't get a printed out ticket like he was holding and was posted.

About 16 years ago I made a bet at the sports book on an LSU game that was 4 months away. I mailed in the winning ticket and they mail me a check for the winnings in Louisiana.

Are they refusing to pay or to give him that much in cash?

No, but many sportsbooks have caps on payouts for certain kinds of wagers in their policy. Absent any details on this gentleman's wager, amounts, betting lines, etc. there's no way to determine exactly what the casino's obligation for payout.

if he lost the bet would they have capped out how much they took? if not thats fricking crooked.

I paid many month’s worth of apartment rent at Mississippi State during Croom’s tenure. I bet against Mississippi State almost every game except for Kentucky. For some reason they always had too high of a point spread for MSU-KY.

Makes one feel better about a loss when you cash a check.

They aren't paying out b/c they don't want their $ being taken from them. Hopefully they sue for 10x what they won.
