ANOTHER Baton Rouge study - BRPD pay and bonus Chauna quote

The study is going to cost more than an officer's salary. Can this administration do anything at all without a study or a committee?
And you gotta love this little dig. What exactly is Chauna trying to say here? She wants more or they should have less?

The problem is OT abuse and low starting wages. They need to raise the base pay and cap overtime at 10 hours/week barring a crisis situation like a flood. They should use the higher base pay to hire more officers so they don't have to work as much OT. There is a straight up OT scam going on with municipal employees using it to rack up massive paychecks and an even bigger retirement pension. It's straight up fraud. No human beings could possibly be working the hours claimed in some of these payroll audits. They're stealing, double-dipping, or both.

Not agreeing or disagreeing but BRPD is one of the few places where OT has an effect on retirement.

What exactly does Chauna Banks do for a living? Because I guarantee you BRPD is paid less then her to deal with her constituents’ daily bullshite.
BRPD should get at least a $7k raise. They’re not competitive in the least. EBRSO or BRPD will have to cough up the funds soon enough, because they’re both working with skeleton staffs and horrible equipment.
