All the people who laughed off the “worrywarts” years ago for freaking out about the Funny Dancing Robot Dogs (tm) should be forced to watch this video once a day for the remainder of the year.
I thought everyone knew the ultimate purpose for these was military killing machine??
I think big PDs like NYPD have been using these in raids

How's it gonna change the magazine? How's it gonna clear a jam or failure to fire? How is it going to clean the weapon? How's it going to load a magazine?? The lack of opposable thumbs makes these robot overlords not that dangerous

frickin thing can’t even handle the kick. Weak

I want to see that SOB clear a jam all by itself.
Not to mention reloading
Frick cyber "rover"
Edit...dammit chopperdoc...beat me to it

If these guys were smart they would have it shoot from the prone position it goes to at the very end of the clip.

We all knew Skynet was coming. We just didn't know they'd be dogs.

At least it moves like a hyperactive yippy dog.
Solution: go to an old Battlebots. One bot threw a metal mesh over the opponent and disabled the opponent. It turns out that there was no law against doing that. Take that idea, put it as a light weight titanium mesh and deliver it by drone.

I'm 98.8% sure that ain't real.

We need common sense robot control

When they make them for go instead of show, they'll be heavy enough to stay on target. The body of the dog will be larger to hold an ammunition belt to feed an automatic weapon so no mag changes. Anyone judging the efficacy of a robot army based on this thing that someone threw together is an idiot. This is the Wright bothers first flight. Wait until you see the F-15 version in 20 years.

F.
Seems to have a recoil problem though.

Well we all know belt fed weapons don't jam, need to reload or need barrel changes due to heat or need to be cleaned.

Honestly, after the mess humans have made of things, I think robots deserve a shot.

You realize there's going to be more than one of these things right? Your questions are akin to asking what happens to an army when a single soldier gets shot and bleeds out.

When does Uvalde police department get one?

quote:I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure this is just to demonstrate how it can patrol and aim. A unit meant for actual live scenarios will have the gun mounted center of mass and designed for a robot that does not have opposable thumbs.

They'll still need a crusty old warrant officer with a coffee cup genetically attached to his hand to keep them running.
Posted on 7/21/22 at 12:36 am to Roaad
Shits gonna get real when they attach a laser to that thing.

You send a dozen into an evolution.
If one jams or empties, it continues as spotter/recon.
