Awkward situation. Apparently the company is handling everything direct instead of going through insurance.

I'm not worried about getting the truck fixed - but inconvenience, rental car, not being able to ask for diminished value, etc.

Probably drinking.

Your corporate attorney shouldve done a test.

don't think your insurance company would give you extra money for diminished value if you went through them, would they?

Diminished value is an issue as it’s hard to ask your company for that, but definitely something you would ask the insurance company for.

Maybe I'm an a-hole, but I would 100% ask for it.

So it has a small dent and you want diminished value like a major accident. Your company will take care of everything and is handling it professionally?

I'm thankful not to work with some of you people on this board. Half of you responding sound like the type people who make projects turn out miserable.

Good news, if they pay for it and isn't reported to CarSCAM, then diminished value isn't really a thing. When they pull a CarSCAM report, it will appear clean.

So there's that. Good luck.

And frick carfax.

Just ask for an additional 2 days off for mental health recovery from the stress this issue has caused.

Some dude hit my parked car at work a few years ago and did the same he was like I’ll just handle it instead of insurance

I shut that nonsense down real quick and let the insurance take care of it. Was not about to risk some dude not paying the 3,000 ish it took to fix it

Since it’s not being reported, it will not show up on a carfax report, that is good down the line for trade in value.

You should have gone out there yelled, grabbed your neck, and fell down. You've gotta play the game, baw. Those billboards aren't out there everywhere for no reason.

As said above as long as it's handled in house and not reported to anyone diminished value should not be a concern, who will know?

Its not awkward if you know a friend that owns a body shop.

It probably has way more damage than you think.
