I doubt he chose to pick up the kids at a police station, sounds like a restraining order to me

If the ex-wife is just going to pay her respects then let her.

He is dead and the GF comes off as a bitch in this situation when she could have played the grown up.

The GF probably dislikes the children as much as the exwife, so she isnt thinking with respect to her husband.

Think about it this way. If the only way he could see his daughters one last time was to see their mother too, would he?

You bet your sweet arse he would.

She should have been allowed to pay her respects ( even if insincere ) in peace because she brought his daughters. That’s now a stain on his legacy that didn’t need to happen if she didn’t place her attachment to her anger above the feelings of his daughters.

Or the fear of getting a bogus tro due to false accusation, very common and very easy to get(for the woman making the false accusation)

How old are the daughters now? They didn't have to leave with their mom.

I huge part of this story we are missing is how old are the daughters?

I mean if they are minors they don’t really have a choice and it’s really shitty on the girlfriend knowing the daughters are going to have to go with their mom

The gf was wrong for that if the ex wasn't causing any trouble.

When they divorced, he gave the ex his house so the kids wouldn't have to move. He moved to Dallas where he lived for the next "20 years" and with his gf for "15" of those 20 years. Math indicates it would be impossible for the girls to be minors.

If he moved from Shreveport to Dallas at least 20 years ago, post divorce, then the kids are at least in their 20s or possibly 30s.

Good for the Gfriend, being a count for decades doesn't just go away when the person you fricked over is dead. And the kids need to toughen up a little. They have plenty of years to go see their fathers burial place, if they need to see him.
