I bet if you commit a crime, even something petty like stealing skittles, they won’t play and you’ll probably be in jail a long time or beat with a cane.

I’ve been to a few mega cities like that overseas. New York does a really good job of having a lot of green space. The large cities overseas, not as much.

New Orleans? Japan and Louisiana can’t even be mentioned in the same sentence when it comes to quality of life, but two nukes might get a countries life right.

That’s Mt Fuji in the background. Named after the late great WWF manager Mr. Fuji.

Population is almost 8M. Population of Chicago, the 3rd largest city in the country, only 2.7M. Or Tokyo is 4 times the size of our 3rd largest city.

What is the homicide rate in Tokyo compared to Chi town though.

I love how this place simps for socialist societies under the guise that homogeneity is the reason for prosperity.

Incredible. I lived in Japan for a couple years and only went there a few times. I don’t know that urban Japan, I know rural Japan.

Does not compare to Shanghai China 25M+ population

Tokyo has the largest population in its urban area in the world. Shanghai would be around 5th or so in the world.

Suicide rate for males in Japan is double the US rates. Female suicide rate is triple.

Great city and country. I never felt unsafe walking all over the place at all hours of the night or day. People are fantastic. Very clean, very well run, very hospitable. If you get the chance to go, do it. I’m hoping for another visit in my lifetime.

My wife has a grandson who's studying in Tokyo. Not sure he wants to have to return.

It does look like the Death Star a little.

That Tokyo picture is honestly incredible. It doesn’t even look real. The massive scale of that city is insane.
