You mad about this invite huh

I didn't know couples told people WITH kids to keep 'em at home!!! Jesus people, I found it odd. Apparently it is normal to tell kids to stay away from weddings, new to me.

no ring bearer or flower girl?

lame

how are the guys going to score points with the bridesmaids without being able to dance with flower girl?

These are the only exceptions. They just don't want their friend Jim and Sally showing up with crying little Susie and temper tantrum Tommy.

Let me be more clear. I have no children, nor will ever have children. I don't attend many weddings so this invitation was the first I had seen of the modern century telling parents to frick off with their kids. Also amusing, because when this couple has their first child, I am sure I will be invited to its party.

Its usually done in the address, for instance "Mr and Mrs X" vs "Mr and Mrs X & family"

We have a flower girl and a ring bearer for our wedding. As soon as the ceremony is over and pictures are taken, a sitter will be taking them back to the hotel with the other kids.

Sadly, they probably feel like they have to put this. If they just addressed the invitation to cousin Steve and his wife, they'd probably get an RSVP for Cousin Steve, his wife, and their four kids ages 8 and younger. Then they'd have to go back and tell cousin Steve to read the invitation and that it was addressed to only he and his wife.

Versus not inviting them at all? Yeah, that wouldn't be a crappy thing to do.

Neither, never had an interest in to legally binding myself to someone monetarily.

"hey we want you to come but not your kids" seems a bit...I don't know

"shitty" might be a little harsh but its not something I would do

Not something I did either... but I get it. Especially people getting married relatively young.

This is hardly a politically correct term, get a babysitter for your kids and quit your bitching.

The new PC term for "Get your fkn kids a babysitter!"
you country bumpkin yokels love to run words & phrases into the ground. There is nothing "pc" about this invitation.

Read again: I have no children, I have no stake in this, I have just never seen this on an invite.
