There are small/college mountain and beach towns that are way more fun to me (at 51 and at 23) than any of those (except New Orleans if you know where to go). I guess it depends on your speed and “demographic.”

You better be packing if go to Atlanta. It has hit 3rd world status, especially after dark.

I don't understand the infatuation with New Orleans. It's just gross.

No all nude strip clubs mean it should be off the list

It was the one that shared the parking lot with Antoon’s. Pretty sure the Antoon’s owned it too. I think there’s a dance studio in there now

Not sure I agree with ATL being #7. Unless you’re a hood rat.

Charleston, SC not being on here is ridiculous.
90% of Charleston is shut down after dark

If the strip clubs are good enough for presidents sons they are good enough for me

“nightlife” and “live music” aren’t always the same thing, this article is focused on the former. Were it the latter, Athens GA and Asheville NC would be on the list, and Nashville and New Orleans would be much higher
DJs, EDM, clubs, etc aren’t my thing, but if you like original live music played but working professional musicians nearly every night of the week those four cities are the best I’ve seen
Just in New Orleans this month we are going to a dozen live shows not including jazz fest. There’s no other place that can support quality and quantity like that, in iconic venues. We are spoiled

Orlando downtown in the mid-late 90s and early 20s was pretty incredible.
Lots of people, Cool and a variety of clubs, music, events that spread out throughout the downtown area.
Glenda Hood started with a few laws that hurt the clubs but Dyer has been in office for 23 years and he obliterated downtown under his watch.
So Sad.

Tampa is legit.
It really is, but the author of this article doesn't know shite about it. Word of advice, stay away from Ybor. At night it gets trashy and dangerous. The younger/college crowds should check out South Howard (SoHo). For everyone else, Downtown Tampa, Hyde Park, and Downtown St Pete (awesome night life) are some great areas.

Agreed! It’s their version of Bourbon st. It’s nice during the afternoon/evening for a drink and of course a cigar. At sundown, leave!

I'm more interested in the daylife scene at 48.

Damn, Arp, Texas didn't make the list.

Vegas has absolutely no business being ranked above NYC and Miami. The nightlife there is massively overrated unless your idea of “nightlife” is going to pool parties at the big resorts on the strip.
