Sometime shite happens. I got laid off and had to have surgery. No insurance that shite was over $50k. Still paying it off years later. A lot has to do with overpriced healthcare.

I bet more often than not, it's not so much about not making much money as it is people spending too much. Spending too much on stupid stuff at that.

Most states have diversified from one type of industry. Not Louisiana though. Will always be this way until other types of industry can be introduced. I'm not talking service industry jobs either.

I actually found out this week that I have two that went into collections. We have been hit an miss on them for years. I hate that I get a bill for every single doctor visit, and sometimes more than one depending on the nature of the visit. Had to take my daughter to her kidney Dr. By the time the day was over we had accumulated 3 more seperate bills to add to the pile. One for the visit, one for imaging and one for something else, maybe bloodwork.
If they would just give a person one different account, it would be much easier to keep track of.
