The only time I've ever been close to having a debt issue was due to a Ochsner bill for $2.97.
Out the blue I get a letter that said it was my last notice and the debt would be turned over to a collections agency.
They had never called or sent me anything about iit before that letter

I had my tonsils removed at 21 & had my own insurance & was still covered on my parents as a secondary.
BR General kept filing them wrong (parents as the primary) until they sent in to collections.
Thankfully the person handling my account had half a brain & was able to get it straight.
It’s a shame people can have their credit messed up over an uneducated office worker.

Raising taxes won't, giving more free stuff won't and neither will handing out more and more incentives with our vital tax dollars.
