Yea these two are a little different than other debts, assuming you didn't get a basket weaving degree

Reminds me of the "cheating" thread, which lumps in cheating on your diet and cheating on your spouse

However, I understand the difficulties younger people face. We bought our house at the bottom of the market, vehicle prices exploded after we bought our current vehicles, and it was a lot easier to pay for college out of pocket in the seventies. It’s a different world than when I grew up.

Frame this one boys. We got a unicorn here.

Mattress. The intent is to have it on hand so it’s never made unavailable.

Not shocking. There are clear cracks right now and have been for several years.

We have not even begun to pay for shoveling cash into the economy during Covid. Those hand outs didn’t land on me. But we are all going to pay dearly for them.

I never worry about debt, it is what it is. Only get to live once and you not going to jail over it.

I carry about $400/m debt - car note, cell phone, and storage unit. All of that goes to my credit card and I pay that off every month and ring up the rewards points for free stuff.
I got (major) debt free months ago and have ZERO intention of ever going back.

The person with the most debt is probably the person with the most money IMO. I’m always looking for ways to take on more debt.

That’s why it is so hard to break through to other side of the tracks.

What were the cracks at the end of 2019 (3 years into the trump economy) when household debt hit a new record?
