No way that plane makes it to that depth intact like that. Submarines implode at much shallower depths

What is there to implode other than the fuel tanks, which arguably would be able to de-pressurize on the way down.

If that is, in fact, Amelia Earhart’s plane….
I hope she is ok.

That image kind of looks like a Navy FJ3 Fury silhouette

That is a horrible sonar image!! Our Kongsberg sonars 20yrs ago gave us better images than that.
Yes, it is a plane, but how many military planes went down in that area in WW2? This dude is just trying to build up hype to get a tv deal to recoup some of the millions he’s spent looking for it.
If they really think it is her plane, they’d have dropped an ROV in the water, and gotten eyes on it. Which they probably did, but are waiting for the media to blow it up, and bid out tv contracts.
What a joke….

It looks like the plane in the sonar image has wings that are more swept back than her plane?
yep, its definitely a swept wing style so he knows he is lying and just wants attention.
most likely its a corsair type jet that crashed from around vietnam war timeframe

When I worked offshore almost 20yrs ago we had sonar that could make out the treads on the tires the boats used as bumpers from pretty far away.
That was the beginning of very deep water oilfield stuff going on way out in Walker ridge. This guy is like the other guy said. Another Oak Island… totally full of shite, and trying to pawn it off on a network to make a buck.
I can se where the wings may have become swept back if they ditched the plane, and she nosed dived it. The impact force could’ve done that. Then calculate in traveling through the water column to get down that deep, and/or almost 100yrs of corrosion, currents, and what not.
If they found the plane on radar they would’ve dive an ROV. Plane and simple.
