I agree. But I am an adult so I don’t need to be coddled and wouldn’t look at something like this as an insult.
This is actually why companies don’t do other stuff for their employees anymore (outside of just paying them). Some employee will always find a negotiate and it creates more problems than it’s worth.

I think starting pay at the distribution center closest to me is something between $16 and $18 and they treat folks like absolute shite. I don’t know anyone that’s worked there longer than a year at this point because they either find something else (usually UPS) or just flat quit.

Complete bullshite. I’m a mechatromics and robotics tech for Amazon. It’s, by far, the best company I’ve ever worked for. 99% of the shite people say about working for Amazon is bullshite. The biggest issue they have is the entitled, lazy, shite workers that think they should get paychecks to do nothing. If anything, they are way too lenient with their associates.

It's a completely different experience for people that work with the floor compared to IT and management and I would assume robot techs. Port Allen sort center didn't have robots so I can't speak to how yall are treated. L3 and below are treated like trash.

I used to think that was ridiculous, but then we hired a recent high school graduate to do some yard work. He took one or two breaks an hour , because that's where he exercised his phone obsession.
We sent him home one day because if he had to pee that often, he needed to see a doctor.
At least he hasn't asked us for a recommendation.

I'm picturing a young female manager fresh from college trying this. Kind of feel bad for whoever put that together because they were trying to be nice and may have even used their own money.
