You think this is an anti-capitalism thread? Is that what you think this is? You think I'm over here arguing for central planning?

This is what makes you sad? This? You might as well go hang out with Anthony Bourdain.

I don't see how this equates at all to logging onto a website at some point during a 36 hour period. Hell, I check TD way more often than that.

It has everything to do with his statement. People have 10k in credit card debt and 600 bucks cash in a checking account, but they scooped up that 42" inch TV because it was $20 off. Idiot.

I thought Mexicans wanted to do the jobs americans didn't want to do.

why are Mexicans striking over unfair pay at amazon?

this is evidence that they don't want to do the jobs either.

This is evidence to send the all back. and by them I mean mexicans

Anthony Bourdain is dead so I don't know why I'd hang out with him. Or are you telling me to kill myself because I think the hysteria over Prime Day is silly?

this is all about pecker being pro-retail. he doesnt realize the overhead and inventory associated with big box stores like bed bath & beyond is going to doom them all.

I’ve easily saved my membership’s worth in Prime shipping and Prime Video.

there were like 5 things on our registry that were discounted fairly substantially that we bought.

Wife and I are doing the same thing for our wedding registry. Seeing what's on the registry that's on sale.

We've marked four more things off so far.

The first Prime Day had some really good deals, but every year since has just felt like Amazon's garage sale.

Because that's what it is. They're discounting the stuff they have way too much inventory of, or isn't moving fast enough.

I'm fine with that. No different than a sale at any other store.

nope, bought a 36" griddle that i have been wanting for a long time for $50 less than the lowest price i've seen.

I'm tempted to get that griddle. But I already have too much shite on my porch.

Other than that, it's pretty much garbage.
