If thats an April Fools prank, its not very funny and pretty extensive. Not to mention its a fantastic freaking idea.
Not even close to the most unfunny April Fool's Day prank.
When IGN did the fake trailer for "The Aurors", from Harry Potter, coming to FX that was just cruel.

I've thought of using that....however I don't know exactly how often I need stuff. Seems like keeping up with the schedule on different stuff would be a hassle.
Yep, that's my problem and suspect most of Amazon's customer base's problem. That, and people tend to shy away from subscriptions as much as possible. Having these little buttons all over the house to order branded items is more of an advertising model for Amazon to bring in revenue from major brands (if you can get your detergent delivered with a button press, but it has to be Tide, you might be inclined to switch to Tide if you weren't using it already).
The real convenience solution is voice integration (Amazon Echo) into mobile devices.

I now get 1 hour delivery from Amazon for a bunch of stuff.

I doubt these major brands would let Amazon use them in an april fools prank

My complaint with Subscribe and Save is I can't choose the exact time frame I need the item delivered. We go through the dog food bag in 5 weeks, not 4. So it won't align with when we actually need the items.
My problem is my orders get canceled by the seller all the time and so I have never actually gotten more than one Subscribe and Save delivery...ever.
Its turned me off on that service. I guess I can try again. No other complaints with Amazon.

Same. I have to admit, I pretty much use it solely for music (through both my Spotify and also Amazon Music), but I'm trying to get into the habit of using it for the other features.
I am not a "regular" grocery shopper. I go to the store for things each time I want to cook instead of pre-planning a weekly list, so it is hard for me to use a list-making tool. When I run out of something, I usually remember to get more pretty well.

I guess my point is its such a good idea I wouldn't find it funny. People would probably be upset it isn't a real thing.

I didn't really think so either, but I couldn't help but notice the date.

How hard is it to just grab your phone, and open your recent orders and click "one-touch order?"
It's not hard at all. I do it a few times a week. I think this product (if real) is for those people that are too lazy to replace the toilet paper when they finish a roll. If picking up your phone to order coffee has become too burdensome when you notice you are running low, i don't think this button is going to help you out.

That would never work in a house with children. Can you imagine them just pushing the button to do it. Then all of a sudden you get 35 things of Tide delivered to your door.
I know my 2 year old pushes every button multiple times as she walks by.

Or you could whip their asses when they do it, and you know parent them

I'm afraid my drunk friends might come over and rack me up a 1k+ paper towel bill.

I don't think this is true.
Gotta be April Fools.
If not then welcome to the Internet of Things.
