Have they ever released where the water will come from for the Meta facility? I am fairly certain it will be aquifer but haven't seen any info on it.

It's definitely far, far overused. And we're only in what, like year 2 of AI?

More like it’s been since the 50s to get to this point.

Still pretty fast compared to human history.

I was alive for this, no one remembers?

Think about emails right now. You draft it with AI, they read it and have AI draft the response. Neither person truly wrote anything.

It will likely be a huge improvement over all the current call centers for most businesses that use Pakistani's, Indians and other 3rd world people who most find it hard to understand when talking to them.

I call the 800 number for my bank and get "John" on the other end who is really Rajish Singh who speaks English like he has a mouthful of marbles.

Lower your expectations for acceptable content

Lower your threshold for seeking out garbage content

Everyone should be fed up with AI. It's a scam.

It seems the free versions are becoming less intelligent. I can only imagine the ones being fine tuned and having tons of resources poured in are probably incredibly useful.

Just another tool held solely by the ultra-rich in our march to modern-day serfdom.

Now THIS is actually a pro for AI amongst the litany of cons. It still has a way to go to get to the point your talking about, but I would definitely rather deal with AI than Punjab Bob.

Even online chat help that uses AI isn't all that great yet. Still have to use a real customer or tech support person after wasting 5 minutes with the AI bot.

I still hate AI and wish it would just go away entirely.

I’m a huge YouTube documentary watcher. And it’s taking over all the original channels content. Usually with some fake accent and a lame video montage of pictures that don’t even pertain the the subject

I tried to watch one and it has a bizzare fake attenburow accent. It was awful. It's all I get now when I try to watch a documentry

Speaking of: This guy decided to go with whatever AI told him to do and he found himself in a blacked out trailer in Joshua Tree eating baby food while listening to lullabies in order to reactivate his genius intellect as an infant. AI psychosis is real and terrifying.

One of my customers has begun using AI for email replies, and I’m just not responding to this half assed crap.

I am older than most here and yes, use Facebook. A lot of my friends are older and my parents are even on there.

There is no way for a lot of the older crowd to tell the difference. My mom sends me shite all the time that are fake AF. I am working on them to explain that most of everything on there that looks "cool" is AI. It is not working

Yeah Facebook and YouTube is loaded with AI garbage. I know a bunch of YouTubers are upset because Youtube has been using AI on their YouTube shorts without their knowledge.

I can confirm this. I worked on an implementation of Amazon Connect.

You'll never have to worry about non-native English speakers again.

Have been for a while.

I've been having to call my gf out because I've caught her using chapGPT for shite lately that no one should ever need help from a machine with. Everyday things. She doesn't fight it, and understands the folly of her ways, but its just a bad habit that people get into with LLM stuff.

Ha..I like it!..using AI to sum up AI, telling Grok to "summarize AI, using mostly big words".
