It's not just homes that burned down. It was schools, churches, community centers, businesses. Everything.

You’re right, I am just too stupid to get on your level. I’m glad the world has folks like you to spread the gospel and protect retards like me, since i can’t even see how the tranny fire Chief’s obviously incompetent woke brigade couldn’t put out this little fire before James Woods’ house was damaged.

I’m not trying to make this political at all, but this is what happens when you elect far left weirdos to run your city and county for years.

Your bungling here is only a fraction of why youre a little gay retard :)

How many “regular folks” live in the Pacific Palisades or Malibu? This is some of the most expensive real estate on the planet.
Lots of people rent out that way. And plenty of regular folks work out there and will now be out of a job.
Given the destruction throughout, there may be lots of people out of work and not many places for them to get jobs.
It’s going to be quite the cluster out here for quite awhile.

Seems like a great opportunity to get a job somewhere else and start fresh.

This is just dumb. Wind and fire = flying embers. Their bungling maybe made things worse by a fraction of a percent.
Are you purposely ignoring the fact that California didn't keep their infrastructure updated to prepare for water and fire fighting resources? Could they stop it from happening, no. Could they have managed it better, yes.
Stop being a sanctuary state and spend your money on your actual citizens.

Just because someone is wealthy and has the ability to afford to replace things, that doesn’t mean they don’t feel the same sense of loss as anyone who loses every physical possession they own. They may love their home just as you do yours.
If insurance pays for you to rebuild your home, what’s the difference between you and a rich person? You both have the ability to rebuild. Would you not be devastated just because you had insurance?
If you can’t sympathize with someone because they’re wealthy, you’re not thinking hard enough about what it would be like if you were in the same position.

That's makes for a predicament. obviously having one of the only homes spared in the neighborhood is perceived as a blessing. But you're still in a terrible fix.
Your home will be in a post-apocalyptic movie for a few months, then in the middle of a huge demolition project, then in a construction zone for the next 5 years.
If you have insurance, you might've been better off if your house burned down too.

Take Billy Crystal for instance. He lost the home he lived in for 40 years. He raised his daughters there. Yes, he is financially well off but you can't replace the sentimental value of a home made of life's memories. It's totally devastating. That said, Crystal will be able to rebuild and move on a lot easier than the average Joe that lost a home. But it's not hard to have empathy for any of them.

Nope.
These people could give a flying frick about about the monster hurricanes that hit the Gulf coast year after year and leave towns in ruins.

I lost my house in a fire during my senior year of high school back in 1989. It's hard to describe the feeling of losing everything you had to your name. All my athletic trophies were gone. My baseball card collection that included my father's cards from the late 50's/early 60's were gone. My MLB,NFL, NCAA jersey, pennant, hat, tshirt, and helmet collections gone. All my team uniforms I played on over the years were gone. My sports magazine collection gone. My team pictures, press clippings from things Id done in the newspaper and all my childhood photos were gone. The biggest thing was the house I'd grown up in from a baby to age 17 was gone. My parents had paid everything off and now both at age 42 had to start over. They rebuilt a nicer house on the same plot of land, but sometimes I miss the old house and my old stuff.

I don’t lack sympathy for someone losing their home just because they have enough money to deal with it more easily than the average person.

Mandy Moore promoting go fund me for family member who lost his band instruments
You might have to go get a job to recover from your vagabond lifestyle
Find someone else to fund your lifestyle while continuing to vote losers in office

On the bright side there will be plenty of illegals to start the recovery work when the fires are out. It will also make it easier for ICE to round up potential terrorist threats.

They aren’t “displaced” like normal people are. They can just go stay at their house in aspen or their condo in NYC or Miami. The celebs have the resources to start over. They aren’t waiting in an 8 hour queue to speak to some fema rep that likely ends up not helping them.

I am not that enthusiast about celebs pushing a go fund me for in-laws like Mandy Moore did. Especially with her self righteousnesses over criticism that she could easily afford the amount listed in the gofundme. It was something like $60,000 or an amount that some easy endorsements by Mandy would make the money back. Not all people who lost things are celebrates or are that closely related to celebrities to have their followers pushed to donate specifically just to them.
Many celebs demand to be treated like American royalty, but also allowed to be treated like regular average people when it suits their purposes.
Celebs have 2nd or vacation homes (or 3rd homes, 4th, & so on) and/or were fighting to get the best hotel suites around LA not struggling to find a roof over their heads or food to eat. It sucks that their homes burned down and hope things work out for them, but they go to the back of the line when it comes to people I want to help, want to see the govt help, or in situations like this want to hear about their personal victimhood stories while they are being waited on and served on by their personal assistants and entourages in luxury suites or extra homes.
