I know two people who have been diagnosed with this. I suspect a third, but he won't get tested. One person has problems with mammal meat and one does not.

Where are they prevalent? I live in the city near the bay, so the bugs I typically deal with are roaches. Are these ticks more so in the rural areas?

I definitely think there could be something to the theories. I mean, we just saw similar shite with Covid. The rich and powerful are all in bed with the government, big corp, big pharma, etc. They give a shite about money and self-interest, and they usually go hand in hand. I’m not saying I 100% believe it, but I wouldn’t be surprised one bit if this thing is orchestrated. We laughed when they said cow farts pollute the air. Those types of people have proven that they aren’t ok with a disagreement. They will kill you if it means furthering their agenda.

For starters, the company that Gates provided funding is doing genetic research on a species of tick that doesn't cause alpha gal. That company and the lab it uses is just one of dozens of tick research labs across the country. One of the largest of those is right in the state of Texas and is operated by the Aggies (they do know a lot about sucking, right?). That lab does do research on species that carry and transmit alpha gal, including genetic modification research. I'd wager that 99% of the true believers in this conspiracy can't name a single person who works at that lab, nor who funds it (other than the government, of course). The same goes for a lab in PA and CT......and multiple other states.
As to the delivery/dispersal method involved with this tick conspiracy. The internet caught fire when alleged "tick boxes" started showing up in rural areas here and there. There were quite a few supposed sightings, with Missouri being ground zero. The MO state government and fish and wildlife was open to the possibility, so open that they solicited the help of the public. They asked for anyone who saw these boxes and related ticks to contact them with the evidence. They asked repeatedly, and they made real effort to track down the people who made claims. They found nothing substantive to back up any of the claims. Despite an online rally of outspoken true believers with real life experience......not one piece of verifiable evidence has been presented.
That's where this conspiracy stands right now.

Most of my property is wooded.
Ticks have been biblical this year.
I've flushed dozens and washed the dogs outside and watched them come off in droves.
I've seen that fricker with the white dot a few times.
I've pulled a dozen or so off me just this year but I love the outdoors so I guess I'm fricked eventually.
I can feel one crawling on me at night and wake up from the deepest sleep in half a second and I'm reaching for it. My new PTSD.
My new foreplay is to stand in front of my wife naked before bed with my hands up like a ballerina and rotate in a circle while asking her to scan me for ticks.
Really gets her in the mood.
ETA my trees got tore up real bad with that ice storm in January and I can't prove it but I feel like that had to have something to do with it. Maybe more tree born ticks on the ground now from all the fallen limbs but what the hell do I know.

Thank goodness it doesnt affect chicken , duck, seafood. I can still have gumbo but I don't know how I can live without real sausage. I have no answer here except to be diligent on avoiding the lone star tick. The tick can pass on alpha gal even if on you for only a small time. This is unlike passing on rickettsial disease which usually takes several hours of exposure to ticks.

I know what you mean, but let me clarify to avoid confusion. The tick has to bite you, not just be on you. And the reaction, if there is one, is instanteous. It an immunological response. It my not appear for a long time, but you had it the instant the tick bit you. But not all ticks carry it and not all people are affected that get bit.
That is why you use a lot of Off if you are going into the woods.
