I wonder if the police are downplaying the witness’s story to make him think they don’t believe him, when in reality he could be their prime suspect
I think they would've tested he and his friend for gunshot residue immediately

Remember, the FBI was wrong in the Baton Rouge serial killer case. Ol David Mc David at Zach P.D. Tried to tell them.

What does everyone expect LSU do about this? Raise funds? Solve the murder?
For starters, LSU could stop turning out graduates that feel sorry for violent thugs and embrace policies that make communities less safe. That would help.

I'm right there with you bro, but how exactly does LSU pull such an idea off?

Anyone know if they have gunshot detection technology in that part of town?
That’s precisely how we have audio of the shots.

I swear I read that the shot spotter recorded 10 shots & that casings at the scene confirmed that #
I don’t see that anywhere now so I don’t know if it was bad info

We don't know that. We know that the shot spotter alerted the police to the incident. The audio could be from there (maybe I have no clue how they work) or from some video taken in the area.

Bacon wrapped shrimp and prime rib, baby. Nothing will come of it other than higher cholesterol and a few extra pounds.
Hey Sharon, if safety is really of the utmost importance, fire that arse kissing clown of a police chief and hire a real law man. Then direct them to aggressively combat violent crime-not inspection stickers and speeding on I12. But the real threat of shite stains (of all colors) who are committing violent crime.

How about demand the city get the crime under control? LSU’s enrollment numbers are about to plummet and LSU can demand change and change will happen.

Hopefully they can lift a print from the spent shell casings found at the scene. More than likely the tPOS has multiple priors with prints recorded on the AFIS database.

Again
What do you expect them to do?

Based off of what?

Parents not wanting to send their kids to the jungle to be hunted

These are assumed to be the shell casings. What else could they be? Now that doesn’t mean they are all casings? I’d assume they use those evidence markers for anything. Cigarette butts, gum etc.

Since they know exactly the time the shooting happened because of the spotter, can they use that to investigate locations of mobile devices? I know they aren't supposed to track people but...don't they?

Funny you say that because that same lady mentioned having a Ring

Saw this went National.
Hey LSU this is why my kids were not allowed to even consider LSU but ended up at Texas and Bama. (Threw up a little in my mouth on the last one) No one I went to LSU with has kids at LSU, but all at other SEC schools and this is why. There must be 1,000 Baton Rouge kids at bama alone rn
We aren’t sending our kids to be murdered

I don't know, my understanding is it is both legally and technically difficult, but possibly do able. I think you run into problems with even if you figured out the phone it would have to not be a burner.
