I’d be handing out paper bags filled with cash to every derelict in Baton Rouge so that real justice will be done. I wouldn’t have time for the fricking authorities to hopefully figure it out.

When life means nothing to you, then you don’t have to be strung out.
Youths out looking for trouble or fun could have stumbled upon her. Isolated, alone, trapped, and vulnerable. She was target practice.
The good news is those types aren’t roaming the city alone, That many shots might have even been multiple shooters. The more people involved, the better chance word gets around who did it.
The key is the right person hearing that information so it gets to investigators.

What about collecting all the cell phone data pinged at the nearest tower around the time of the homicide? It would take some work, however it may lead to some luck.

How far spaced are “cell phone towers”? Let’s say the nearest cell phone tower covers a tenth of the Baton Rouge metro. In a metro the size of >200,000 people, that’s 20,000 potential cell phones nearby.

The news reports from 2 and 9 show where her glass was on the ground. It has to be her passenger glass, because her car could not fit between the telephone pole and glass pile. This puts her going east, and shot by a shooter that was using the pole for cover. We have not been given enough info yet to know why she stopped.
Channel 2 also said they had found businesses, (Plural) that said they had turned over surveillance video to LE.
