There will be a vigil for Allie - Thursday at the Greek amphitheater on LSU’s campus
The golden girls and some of the cheerleaders were wearing yellow bracelets in her honor at Saturdays game - the bracelets will be available to the public starting Tuesday
Nothing else about the witness
Live like Allie

wait have you been under the impression that any public official’s press conference in the history of forever has ever not been lip service? Bless your heart
I know this is hard for you to comprehend, but there are actual elected officials that hold news conferences that present new facts, keep the general public up to date, and actually answer legitimate questions the public asks for in all areas of this country.
They are just in areas where normal people don't vote strictly on color of skin and put idiotic figurehead politicians with a GED education level and attempt to save face by using words they don't comprehend and appointing other uneducated people of their same skin color just because that's the only game they know how to play to stay in office.
Everything about politics in this shite city and state are so backwards, we actually kind of deserve all the repercussions for putting up with it for this long and not being able to find anyone that can bring some sense of unity and eliminate the black/white & republican/democrat strict divide in this state. First we need a politician who isn't afraid to live in this gray area. Then they'd need to do the impossible and be able to communicate that to the public and encourage and embrace diversity in every big political decision.

We have to keep the pressure on here and to never give up. What the frickface SWB administration and her hand puppet Police Chief want is this to fade away into oblivion. Their rationale is that if more time elapses people will forget all about it and heat against them will slowly subside.
Well that won’t happen. The power of the OT will keep this going until the thug pieces of shite are apprehended.

They still haven't put out any new info on this? Other than this thread I haven't seen or heard anything in a while.

When The Shed has that $100/ticket dinner on October 13th and the reward is announced to surpass $100,000 a couple days later, the heat will be turned up on these pieces of shite. If they thought that this murder would fall through the cracks they’ve got other news coming. The Shed is going to be absolutely PACKED that day and they can fit a bunch of people. Assuming NOBODY at all donates more than required, I bet they still raise at least $100k that day alone.
I just hope for our safety that the cops are planning on having a major presence there.

So apparently we are pretending this never happened, which allows it to just disappear!!! frick that, it’s time for us to quit complaining and do something. Why can’t we organize a group of pissed offed citizens to protest at the sight until we are heard!!!
Well, unlike professional protestors who are paid to show up most people have real jobs and don’t have the time.
I agree, as time passes it’ll fade.

It will still roil in the background for quite a while because people are pissed.
You won’t get instamobs on this because the people in question aren’t like that. But there will still be constant pressure on Tweedledee and Tweedledumb about this until it is solved or one / both is out of a job.

Or that it is not as important as BR's "gang" problem as was the primary issue discussed in SWB's press conference.
The state of the city and terrible crimes like Allie's murder are much more about a values and culture problem that predominates in BR and other cities with similar citizenry makeup and issues.

This won't fade. You have an organization in The Shed as a legitimate point guard in this (which is rare/unique) and a dollar amount that will reach 6 figures if BRPD tries to sandbag this. You have national spotlights on this as someone as stoic as Sandra Smith broke away from her even keel disposition to express visual and vocal displeasure with the ineptitude of her former hometown. Law abiding and actual tax payers of the city are scared AF to go out past 8pm, and God forbid they have to detour from a main route in the slightest. This is not going away. No way.

The Shed and the OT aren’t gonna let this be forgotten. Be been hammering the local media’s social media posts since this happened and I encourage all y’all to do the same. If people are calling them out in their comments, they will know we’re still pissed. Whatever it takes!

Where’s the recall ive been reading about someone would organize?
That is what will put pressure on SWB.

Dear Lord,
Please provide clarity to the LEO’s involved in this case to solve this murder, and/or a witness to come forward this week with compelling info to get these thugs off the street. Thank you in advance. Amen!

Agreed.
In light of misinformation/disinformation, I wonder if the family is running a parallel investigation of their own with a PI or something.
Seeing the absolute dysfunction at BRPD, I certainly would if that were my daughter.

Allie's father Paul made a long Facebook post. Get out your tissues...
quote:
In this past week, in this life-altering tragedy, I have spent all of it numb and heartbroken. I have spent more time being interviewed with local, national, and even international media than I ever imagined, trying to make sure the world has a chance to see who my amazing daughter was and what she meant to everyone in our little speck on the map. I am asked to share in a block of seconds who she was, and I did the best I could in the limited time available. Now I want to share who she was to me on my terms...
Allie was always the one who changed things in my life. She was my first child born- the one who made me a daddy... Angela and I used to stress during the pregnancy that we wouldn't know what to do as parents but it came natural for both of us. She was a healthy baby girl with a beautiful smile and tons of personality from the beginning.
She used to sit on my lap in my chair at my computer desk while I would work at night and sing Barney songs and just love on me. I used to teach her silly things to say in the tub like "Read my lips... no new taxes" as W was our president at that time - i have to find that video clip. We would read her bed time stories that she could recite back word for word long before she could ever actually read. She loved to play dress up - one of my favorite instances was in the middle of the summer she came out of her room wearing a little red Santa dress and Santa hat telling everyone " Mary's Christmas "!
She started dancing at 3 years old at my sister's dance school and was competing not long after that for XSD and later DeFrances. She later wanted to try something different and turned to cheerleading and immediately made Dutchtown Middle's cheer team and competition squads with Cheer Force then carried that up to Dutchtown High School. She wasn't born with talent but she was born with drive and ambition. Her energy left a mark on everyone she met along the way.
Academically she always excelled and was always lauded by her teachers and principals. But she was that special combination of brains, beauty, and personality that drew everybody to her. One of her classmates from SJV told me a story the other night of working on a project together where they were both such perfectionists and refused to be beat by the challenging project they were assigned. Classic Allie! You just knew this child would go places in life.
But the Allie I will always love and remember was the one who would curl up on the sofa with me and bring a blanket and watch whatever I had on TV even if she had no interest at all.
The Allie that would find a love for music that I listened to even though it wasn't her type of music and would sing those songs with me on every car ride.
The Allie who would beg me to do Tik Tok videos with her doing silly things which didn't always show me in the most flattering light with my 2 left feet and awkwardness, but she would be so proud of them and show all of her friends - and I heard a lot of stories and mentions of those videos this week.
The Allie who was adored by her brothers and stepsister, and later by 4 more stepsiblings due to her silliness, personality, and the time she gave each of them.
The Allie who changed the mood of family get-togethers and parties by upping the energy level. She always fit in with her cousins on both sides of the family no matter their personality.
The Allie who brought so many girls over for sleepovers where all I heard was loud music and giggling all night.
The Allie who worked hard and played hard. She has worked several jobs since 16 and made so many friends and memories (and of course dancing videos) for people at Cracker Barrel, Dempsey's, Tio Javis, and The Shed.
But more importantly to all of these things about Allie, I cherish the Allie who despite everything she had going on in her life always called to make sure I knew she was OK, and to make sure I was. The Allie who would video chat with me when she was with friends and just being Allie to make sure I was a part of whatever she was doing. The Allie who called me for advice or to vent about frustrations. EVERY phone conversation even if we had spoken 10 times in an hour ended with " I love you" and usually something silly to end the call with a smile. The Allie who loved her Daddy, her Mom, and her entire family.
I have tears rolling down my face right now as I'm sitting in a finally quiet house taking time to remember who and what she was and realizing that is a love and bond that was unfairly and cruelly taken from me, her mom, her brothers, her stepfather and stepmother both whom she loved and respected, her 5 stepbrothers and sisters who didn't see her as step. Her best friends and roommates. We have all lost a piece of our hearts we will never get back.
I struggle hard when I think about what that last minute of her life was probably like. That there was nothing I could do to help her...that she was probably trying to get away so she could call me for help. I will forever be haunted that she had to look in the face of pure evil as the last face she ever saw and not the faces of someone who loved her. That her life was lost presumably because someone wanted to steal her car or money. Allie, we will catch these people and you will be vindicated. You did not deserve this, no one does, but especially you. I can only trust that whatever God's bigger plan is that it must be huge to bring in a warrior like you.
I know that my life and the lives of our family will never be the same. It's hard right now but I am going to work very hard to remember and share the positive memories and impacts that she had on our lives. Please keep sharing your stories with me, I may not have responded to all of you, but I promise I'm reading them and verbally sharing them with others.
I love you and miss you so much my baby girl, my Bootsie-Bear. The flowers may die but your memory never will for any of us. Go be part of God's plan now, go see Pops, go meet your Paw Paw John, go hang with Bree and show her how you never gave up, and give Uncle Scott a big hug for me and tell him i love and miss him too. I will gaze up on your beautiful face again one day and I know you will be the first one waiting for me.

Just wanted to say that I hope the sub-humans that get the reward money end up having the rest of their lives filled with heartache and misery, and I wish the same for our racist mayor and her handlers, Engquist, Lipsey and whoever else, along with their faithful puppet Murphey Paul.

Prepare yourself for this to be a cold case. If there were witnesses, they would have come forward by now. If the gun isn’t found, it’s a perfect storm of a terrible location and time.
