And if SWB is reading this, I know her and Kip Holden don't get along. How does it feel knowing that someone you don't like was much better at the job you are doing now? If you really want what's best for the city of Baton Rouge... step down.

Until you get rid of the woke political correctness that everybody is afraid to fire/recall people because of fear of being called a racist or Garland coming. Nada will change, it will worsen.
BR needs the gangs cleaned-out immediately. I have seen it done in some rough cities. A good police chief can do it. But in today's political climate no one can touch it. The city that was cleaned up is back to being hell and suffering lack of tourism with people shooting up drugs and guns in the alleys.
Not to make it political but it is the got damned truth; that the democrats could ruin paradise in a day.

That's news to me. I didn't even know I was registered to vote in BR. Is there anything else about me that you know about that I am not aware of.
But I am in baton rouge enough that I care about whether or not it goes to shite you moron.
And I can assure you that if I did vote in BR I wouldn't have voted for her. Im not a mindless idiot who is programmed to vote for people just because they have a certain letter by their name. Not to mention party isn't as big of a factor in local politics.
Because, you know.. When you vote for US senators, representatives, who wins those elections determines what part has power in congress, etc.
Either way, this thread is about a 21 year old college student who was gunned down and killed while waiting for a train to pass and the incompetent police department that is responsible for solving the crime.
Anyone who has a loved one who was killed by an unknown person deserves to find out who killed them. And if the police department is showing a lack of interest in doing their job they should be called out. So you can eat a dick.

This sums it up pretty well. Broome has single-handedly destroyed all of the good that Holden did while he was in office. She fired a good police chief because he was white, and hired a clown who she can control. As a result, Baton Rouge crime has gone through the roof. I personally know at least three people who are planning to get the hell out of town ASAP.
