AEs are not of the quality they were 10yrs ago....On sale they are still a decent value however.

Same.

True to size for me.

Regular size, I get a wide in all dress shoes so the laces close properly. If they are closed laces they should close. Open they should at least be consistent top to bottom

Honestly forgot the boat shoes I had on when I posted that are AEs as well. 11D - which is what I wear 95% of the time.

Yes they are true to size, so order your Brannock size. Note that most people buy running shoes a half size to a full size more than their Brannock shoe size.

I have a pair of Grayson Loafers and a pair of Park Avenue both are over 40 years old. Same size as all of my other shoes. I sent both back a few years ago and they resoled them. They were expensive back then but I’d say have been a good investment. Comfortable as any shoe I have.

65 Last seems to run narrow, so consider trying an E width instead of just the standard D.

Allen Edmonds fits a little tight. I got my normal size, and then after wearing them for 2 days, I had 3 blisters on my toes. I'd maybe go 1/2 size bigger.
Their leather is rigid, no give. Even if sized correctly, when your feet press against the sides of the shoe, the shoe doesn't give. Causes friction, causes blisters. I'll wear thicker socks next time if I can fit in them. Destroyed my skin on thin dress socks.
Upside was I love popping blisters. I simply can not help myself I need no lecture. I genuinely think popping and removing skin to air dry helps it heal faster to normal skin regrowth.

Take them to any local shoe repair and let them put them on the stretcher for a couple days. That will solve that problem. I’ve done that with a couple of other pairs I have and makes all the difference in the world.

Thanks for the responses. I called all around Lafayette and no one sells AE. Dillard’s in BR is the closest, and I was trying to avoid driving there. They have so many options for widths on AE’s website, I feel like I just need to head over there to try them on.

If you’re going to make the drive, go to the actual store in Nola at Canal Place. Don’t go to Dillard’s.

I wear 12 in a sneaker and a 10.5 wide in AE.
huh?
I wear 13 in each. You must wear 4 pair of socks with tennis shoes.

For AEs or any nice dress shoe, it’s important to research the last of these I’ll be buying. They aren’t all the same: AE Page

I have a pair, also a few other pairs of dress shoes. I have a friend in Mexico, when I go, I drop off a pair, pick them up the next trip over. Whatever he uses for the soles and heels, seem to hold up very well.

I have a size 13 foot, but wear a size 8 in AE. Does this answer your question? About 5 sizes too small.
