except in this case they only suspected him of committing a crime, no crime was committed in their presence yet the DA thought it was enough to clear them?

Naw...they chased the guy down in a truck and created a damn roadblock....if you can't see the differences between that and Zimmerman well I'm not sure what to tell you.

if I see someone jogging in my neighborhood, I can harass him under the guise that there were a few car break-ins recently?

Like I can physically go after him and frick with him

In America it’s our right to harass joggers.

Not really, I am not big city lawyer but if you can claim stand your ground in this case then the law needs to be tossed out.

There is no Stand Your Ground issues in this case and there were not any in Zimmerman. Both sides in Zimmerman agreed months before trial that Stand Your Ground was not applicable. Journalists just aren't very smart.

And kill them based on what I'm seeing from some in this thread.

None of that matters. I would struggle over a gun if I was innocent and someone confronted me and I thought my life was in danger.

We even teach people that. “Run, hide, fight”

Because aggressors don't get the benefit of self-defense.

The Stand Your Ground law in Georgia actually protects Arbery's actions. Not the other way around.

That's not what I'm seeing...I'm not saying ya'll are wrong but what I'm seeing is the guy that shoots the first shot is in front of the truck and it almost looks like the guys rounds off toward the shooter when he passes the front of the truck.....tell me what you see?

I originally thought the dad shot first but he kinda looks to either reloads and pull his gun up after the first shot is taken. Unless there was a weird kick or something it doesn’t look like he took it

It also sounds like the exact same gun on all three shots, but I could just be the phone.

The way he is running looks like someone on a jog. Doesn’t seem to be hauling arse and why the middle of the road if you are fleeing?

Right which you can determine by looking at a person or looking at some grainy arse ring doorbell video that shows no real crime

OK, so the consensus is that a modern-day lynching of a jogger. Got it.

It's pretty god damn close....I mean what the hell else do you need to see??????

ETA If we are going to say that a citizen shoot to kill is justified based on the fact that this guy had an illegal firearm on him a year ago then let me know but until then this shite is criminal.

I would argue the victim was standing his ground.

The funny thing is that I bet a lot of you are completely outraged at the lies you think the media is telling about COVID, but they're obviously being completely truthful here and telling the whole story.

Keep doing you, OT.

By the way, not once have I said that these shooters were completely justified in their actions, or that they did not commit a crime.
