Doubt it unless this gets moved to an Atlanta court. The local DA did most of the legwork and didn’t find enough to even arrest the guys.
local DA wrote this:

“It appears Travis McMichael, Greg McMichael and Bryan Williams were following in ‘hot pursuit,’ a burglary suspect, with solid first hand probable cause, in their neighborhood, and asking/telling him to stop. It appears their intent was to stop and hold this criminal suspect until law enforcement arrived. Under Georgia law this is perfectly legal.”
except they had absolutely no evidence at all that arbery had done anything wrong.

And how exactly were they in hot pursuit? Lol

The saddest part of this is if the rednecks actually stop him, a potentially innocent man has to deal with the bullshite of being arrested and proving his innocence because he looked into a window. These two assholes murder him, and it appears they are getting away with it. I really do doubt our justice system sometimes.

Honestly, the best bet would have it be charged as a hate crime and have the feds take it over.

. Not saying the guys were right in the slightest, but why is this the first instinct for some people?

If it seems pretty certain that the person is going to use the gun and you can’t outrun a bullet, it’s pretty much either rush the guy and hope he misses or hesitates or get executed and die for certain.

Why don’t you wait for the whole story?

It was (is) a fricked up situation

But with ALL of these situations, I always ask, ‘did the perpetrators shoot the guy BECAUSE he was black? Or did he shoot him for another reason and the guy just happened to be black?’

This certain situation may be a bad example, I’m not sure. But I don’t understand why it always has to be a white vs black type of deal

If these were two uniformed cops in a patrol car with its lights on the shooting would be sketchy. “Why didn’t they use a taser?” Would be asked.

What information would make you think this was justified?

I’m almost more bothered by the DA’s letter and the thought that someone so stupid could have some power in our legal system, likely because of his last name.

And I know I shouldn’t judge one his his/her appearance, but his LinkedIn profile picture looks like a person who just failed his way into power:

I don’t know all the facts. Neither do you.

I just doubt the whole “modern lynching” and “just out for a jog” stories. I’ve already seen some allegations about the deceased that make me doubt the “jogging” story.

Doesn’t mean these guys didn’t commit some crime.

What is an example of a full story, where the conclusion is doing something as barbaric as two citizens trying to blockade a street with their guns drawn for an individual who is unarmed & jogging, that makes it okay?? Where two months later, after said unarmed individual is dead directly because what they did, they’ve never even been arrested??

I can’t think of one where this is somehow justified. Especially this one where their stories on why they did this shite was because there were break-ins in the neighborhood & they saw a suspicious individual(to them, black) at an empty fricking construction site so they, again as citizens, grabbed their guns & hopped in their trucks to fricking perform a citizens arrest.

*I posted this in the political forum but the discussion is getting far more play in the O-T forum.

Anyone buying into the notion that there is a gun in the roadway before the confrontation we see begins?

The image clearly looks enhanced/photoshopped. It's hard to tell from the video. (The 10-13 second mark)

Well then, your mind is made up. You don’t need to know anymore facts. The deceased was out for a jog and was lynched.

There you go.

I’d call cold blooded murder “some crime”.

You think they committed first degree murder?

There you go. Lock them up. Maybe give them the death penalty.

For what’s it’s worth, even the video doesn’t support first degree murder.

But your mind is made up.

Even if they saw this guy rob a house they don't have the right to hunt him down and kill him
