Oh, no. I see the arrows. I simply don’t give a rats arse about the arrows. I’m not going to walk down an entire aisle to come back up the next one the “correct” way when I can simply take 5 steps and grab what I want.

And what if you have it and are asymptomatic? I don’t know why this is so hard for people to process.

Im not sure where you're getting this from, most of the whining comes from ,comply or we will die" crowd. Local social media is almost unreadable due to these clucking hens.

the vast majority of "Karens" are just bitching online,
Karen has spread and been generalized to basically include any woman on facebook posting an opinion. When it first started, it was the people like we had in our neighborhood who cried to wafb, wbrz, the parish president and tried to organize the neighborhood women's group (through facebook) when the local club house started a summer camp to allow 6 kids to be watched locally. She thought it was the height of stupidity for parents to allow their kids to spend the day with other neighborhood kids while they had to work. The GM caved of course.

He said "work to do", not "come in to the office every day."

M at risk, I don't wear one. There seems to be conflicting opinions from "experts" on whether masks help or hurt. I think at best they give a false sense of security.

Without question the mask keeps you from putting your hands to your mouth/nose, which seems like the most likely mode of getting infected. In a crowded public place, to me this is the biggest benefit of wearing a mask. Really hard to not touch your face otherwise.

There's plenty of it from both sides. It's not so much angst from the no-mask crowd, but more just mockery and ridicule.

For the general public, it actually causes people to touch their face MORE because they adjust it, move it down to talk, etc. So, it's not nearly as beneficial as it could be or it's often making things worse.

Wow, you must think you are so cool not wearing a mask.

But you touch your mask which is a huge germ repository. It's a false sense that f security.

To be effectve you would need to change your mask and wash your hands many times throughout the day.

I think when you’re getting to your table or to the bar or going to the bathroom it makes sense to wear the mask, but once you have sat down and are six feet apart from another person I think you should be able to take it off.

Why? Because you wouldn’t be breathing, talking, or anything else once you sat at the table? Are you washing your hands after you touch every glass, table top, bar, credit card, pen, salt shaker, etc? What about every yawn, cough, sneeze, eye rub?

If the answer is no, then wearing a mask and then taking it off would be just as pointless as the idiots wearing gloves in the grocery stores.

ETA: thank goodness there is at least some portion of the bar or restaurant experience where you believe you should be allowed to not cover your mouth.

In the rural cities in Arkansas I'd say 90% no mask

I went to trader joes in Little Rock. 90% masks

So idk, GF and I don't wear mask. Gf's sister tried to wear a mask but was uncomfortable and I think was breathing in too much CO2 because she said she was getting light headed after wearing it for a while.

Anytime I touch something outside of my home or something that hasn't been cleaned, then yeah, I tend to wash my hands before touching my face again. So long as the bar has been cleaned off before I arrived (something they did before this largely anyway), then that's fine.

Don't need to risk someone coughing on me walking to the bathroom. We can have the best of both worlds if people won't be idiots, but this thread does not inspire much hope in that.

I was in Singapore in February. Their government gave masks to every citizen with, specific, instructions not to wear one unless you are exhibiting symptoms. As I mentioned a few pages back, masks are mandatory in Chicago. Of course, I am following laws, and will continue to do so, but I can't help but think how unnecessary it is. Of course, I'm so used to seeing mass-hysteria and people vilifying people that may not see the effectiveness.
