Yeah, I vaguely remember that.

I guess the right way to phrase it..... Has their been an alcohol/drug related death due to hazing for a greek life student since Ben Wynne?

I'm not gonna pretend to know about LSU's Greek system in depth, but assuming theyre about like every other school's this suspension could turn into something much bigger than itself.

They could use this opportunity to "regroup" and change the course for the future; there is a shite ton of room for improvement and change of perspective. Why not make your Greek houses about having a positive output and take special interest in a certain cause?

Hazing isnt the only way to bond, working hard through tough shite and making a difference while having the occasional party or gathering is about the only way they'll survive much longer in the PC safe space world of the future. If they play this right the Greek system will be around for a long time. If not and the hammer dropping is protested and fought tooth and nail, I see universities slowly shutting them down across the country over the next few years, starting at LSU.

TL;DR - Greeks better evolve or they'll get left behind by the new-age PC kids and governing bodies that are taking hold

True, but it's usually the most effective.

Yeah, I don't have too much of a problem with this as long as its temporary.

Spend a couple of weeks sorting things out and have whatever meetings and policy changes then let life return to normal.

I'm asking a serious question - what is the effect of this punishment?

The one I'm thinking of was drug related. But it was just a couple guys in the house, no hazing involved.

You do realize this is how most greek orgs have operated for the past 20+ years right?

Shutting down every event for every fraternity and sorority.

Seems a bit heavy handed and excessive when only one is involved.

That's justice though.

Yes but for a lot of reasons other than the Greek system.

The move that actually involves justice.

Punishing every individual within the Greek system for something that only one fraternity did isn't justice.

Meh, I think this move gets them the least amount of blowback.

In what scenario are people not affiliated with an organization hazing each other?

Moved away a couple years ago for residency.

Won't share where for privacy purposes.

Life is good though.

typical F King move when he doesn't know WTF to do. Punish the good for the bad just like kindergarten......

I bet he wouldn't take away all prescription meds if a random student ODs on oxy.....
