The ADA made a recommendation but not a mandate. I'd imagine most comply.

My dentist just called me to cancel, said the order to close came from the Dept of Health.

"I'm surprised they get enough business in that state even in non-crisis situations."
I'm from Louisiana and had to chuckle at this remark.

What about my family doctor???? I have to get in to get new paperwork filled out to continue my disability. I wonder how that's gonna work.

My mom had a dr appt today. She asked if she could reschedule and they urged against it. Apparently trying to get the routine stuff done before the tsunami.

Wife has now confirmed. Still not sure what “emergency” will entail.

Plenty of lawsuits need to be filed. A private business treating patients who voluntarily come in should be allowed to stay open.

I'm in TX, and the dental practice I manage is open. Corporate said, for now, me and the dentist can cut staff and volume as needed, but we have no mandate to close...yet. Just screening everyone before they can go to the back.

These people work all day literally one foot from people’s open mouths. Think viral transmission would be difficult?
