I don’t know. But I believe nothing the .gov pushes. If they are, there’s a reason. And, honestly, if there are aliens, I don’t think they’d be sharing the info. unless it will be benefit the .gov in some way. More control? Charge “alien tax” on us for “research, safety, whatever”?

ust ponder the distances, speed of light, time it took Earth to develop a lifeform that could fly in a craft. Biological limitations. The requirement that the two places have the lifeforms at the same time. The planet requirements for life. The gravitational problems. Would not our own technological achievements been deemed impossible 500 years ago? We didnt even have Newtonian physics until..what 1700. And look at what we have accomlished in 300 years. A type III civilization (on Kardashev scale) that can harness ... for example..possibly Planck energy for propulsion . Im thinking life span would no be problem for lesser civilizations if they send synthetic beings, at least with their own galaxy. We are both making certain assumptions. I'm assuming that a civilization that is far advanced time wise from us will develop the physics and tech to make it possible. You are assuming they wont.

I believe that we possess certain weapons that very few people within our military know exist.

The motivations here actually seem pretty clear.

All indications are that the Pentagon wants very much to not reveal this information.

Congress is motivated to make this happen not because of a sense of duty to tell the truth to the American people, but because they realize just how much of their (our) money the Pentagon has been spending unsupervised and want to take back control of the situation.

This appears to be a disclosure rebellion by people on the inside of these programs that started in 2017 with the leaked Tic Tac videos to the NYTimes.

I would be very surprised if actual biological entities have traveled the cosmos and visited earth. I think much more likely is some form of artificial intelligence controlled vehicle of some sort could have or is currently visiting earth for any of a variety of reasons

Probably?

Meh, not really. At least not the same kind. I amnot trying to be an arse here, but you're not really supplying anything more than a basic "anything is possible" statement. No one is covering the issues with distance from here to another galaxy, not distance from here to the nearest star.

But without any comment one how.

The sun will die in a billion years. It will be in its final stages and turn into a red giant and then a white dwarf. At that point, Earth will be completely uninhabitable and the remaining population of humans will be forced to transplant to another planet.

There was a movie made about this that had a bunch of good actors in it. The name of the film is Sunshine. Came out in 2007. Wasn’t the most realistic depiction, but the acting and SFX was well done

Anyway, come up with hard evidence or continue to be assumed as a group of Star Trek nerds living your best lives.

Have to disagree with you on this Alx.

Just as the sound barrier seemed to be an impossible dream that would destroy any aircraft that attempted to pass through it, technology always manages to push the limits even farther.

Some of Oppenheimer's buddies theorized the atomic bomb would set the atmosphere over our entire planet on fire. Literally. Showed theoretical evidence to prove that possibility.....didn't happen.

As long as we keep pushing the edges of science breakthroughs once thought impossible will come.

(Now if I could just get my Eyra past 80 mph the prophecy will be fulfilled. :)

Well that's apples oranges and also falls under the anything is possible argument. I am sure technology will continue to advance, but the distances will not change.

Do you think its far more likely that intelligent life like our selves exists than likely they would be capable of interstellar or intergalactic travel?

Yes, I do not think that is a debatable question.

Option C

I think its more likely another form of humanoid lived on earth at some point and were eradicated, other than a few living in caves

I have this vague initial thought about aliens that came to me after listening to some liberal radio hosts talk about it.

Can you be a Christian and also believe in aliens? Is all this alien talk being instigated by atheist and other non believer sects?

Have you ever looked in a mirror? Then you saw an alien.

What makes you think we are native to this planet. Once we are in orbit out circadian rhythms actually match with us being from Mars.

Where is your proof? Millions of scientists have been born yet you can’t proof it. They can’t even find the missing link, and that means it’s just a theory like aliens.

We have probably been genetically engineered at some point, we have tons of alien or junk DNA. We are probably not native to this planet at least not fully. We dominate this planet because we were created to do so. We are the hybrid aliens bro
