Lion share was the best. Ordered your flame broiled burger on that red phone.
Morrows nuts was awesome as well. You got everything in a little white paper bag.

When I lived in Alexandria we would either go to Baton Rouge or Lafayette for the day. there was nothing in Alexandria.
I concur on Critics Choice. I miss that place.

Sam Goody and the baseball card shop in the food court were what I always looked forward to. Stopped in the other day for Chic-Fil-A and it was very depressing.

I went there last summer when I was working in Alexandria for the day. I just needed to soak up some A/C, take a shite, and reply to some emails. It was a miserable feeling place and the A/C wasn't even that cold.

Well, I disagree.
I was there much more recently and the A/C is fine. Maybe you were too warm because you have to wear a suit and tie in the summer in Louisiana as you drive around on sales calls. Just about every time I'm in a suit and tie in Louisiana, I am too warm. This is a great state, but, it is not a place that is conducive to a sporting a professional wardrobe that was designed to work in an office in NYC or Boston, or even Scranton, PA.
I will declare a positively affirmative THUMB'S UP for anybody who lives in the Alec area -- the Alec Mall is clean, the stores are clean, the stores have plenty of inventory, the people who work there are nice and IT IS a nice place to shop.

I was there a few years ago, the guy has the Philly Cheese-steak place in the corner of the food court, hope they are still there.
That place was fricking fantastic when I was there in the 90's. I don't know if it's the same guy that owns it now but the one at that time had a blonde wife. Natural blonde.

I was in scrubs, not suit and tie. AC didn’t work for shite.

Well maybe you should go more and encourage others to go. Malls are are awesome and need consumer support to stay viable.
Maybe they should include more stores to fit my demographic, then. Otherwise, I'll go elsewhere.
I do like the food court, though...especially the Mandarin and Philly Cheese place.

I worked at the Sears there back in 94 while attending LC. I can't remember the name of his shop, but there was an awesome airbrush artist. He did a lot of car/truck images, as well as famous movie characters.

I was saddened to see that Sbarro’s had closed up shop. As a kid, that was a massive slice of pizza and it was so good.

I've been waiting on the monthly "Alexandria Sucks" thread.

Exactly. Apparently the top8c needs it's own board.
