The Siegen bums will steal the carts and the quarters in no time. They have hundreds of stolenTarget, Total Wine, Big Lots, and Walmart carts laying in fields and tree lines around Siegen/Reiger.

Seems interesting, but why that HORRIBLE location!? Siegen sucks enough already w/o more traffic.

you can forget about shopping choices. Two types of tub butter. One size of milk

Sounds a socialist style grocery.

Nah it's one name brand that's priced comparative to any other store, then Aldi's store/off brand thats priced like it expired a week ago..

The idea is to get you to buy the cheap shite.. if that's the goal, why bother putting 15 name brands of butter out?

Aldi is from Sweden

No, it's German. A family owned business that split between 2 brothers now Aldi and Aldi Sud. Kinda like Adidas and Puma without the bitter rivalry.

Aldi has some great deals on things that are of great quality. Granted they have some really crappy stuff but they have a more diverse section of cheeses and cured meats. Not the same exact stuff at Kroger's or walmarks. They also have a nice flower selection. You can get canned items that instead of listing a 5 year shelf life they have only one year.

They also have random stuff too. Got a set of porch lights for 5 bucks. It's basically mix of a Kroger and a dollar general.

Real Superstore was cool AF. But their choice in locations in the Baton Rouge area was kind of foolish. Greenwell Springs at Airline....but not visible from Airline? Who decided that was a good move? The whole chain eventually went out of business; which isn't very surprising.

Grew up on Evangline and spent many shopping trips reading Archie comics at the Real Superstore while my mom bought groceries.

Any guesses on the number of armed robberies per month that will occur both inside the store and in their parking lot?

Yea I don’t understand how some people live their life seeing everything like that lol. I read the entire thread up til that point only thought about a cheap store and if people liked it.

I can throw a rock twice and hit an Aldi from my house.

Every time I’ve been in there it’s packed. Weekends or weekdays. That said, I’m surprised they chose that location as well.

My experience as well with the activity at the store.

"If you build it, they will come." They were able to get in the market quickly by renovating the existing old Office Depot Shell.

Siegen has its faults but it's still a prime retail location and the traffic counts are through the roof.

Whichever poster stated Total Wine is "going bust" at that location doesn't understand retail.
