So now I can get booze at the gas station, grocery store, bar, movie theatre, stadium, drive thru and delivered to my office.

Gas station union will lobby the city council to put a stop to this immediately.....as soon as they're done tearing down the REL statue

The company said delivery service is available in the French Quarter, Treme, Garden District, Metairie, Mid-City, Gentilly, Audubon, Elmwood and Gretna areas.
And that's how the race war started......

Drizly is currently available in the following cities: Austin, Baltimore, Boston, Boulder, Chicago, Denver, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York City (and the Hamptons), Providence, Seattle, St. Louis, Vail and Washington D.C. We will continue to grow our national footprint throughout 2015.
Why would they choose New Orleans as the first Southern market? Alcohol is already very easy to purchase in Louisiana.
FYI:

As a special welcome to new users in New Orleans, we’re offering $15 off all first time orders with the promo code NOLA15 through the end of July. For these types of promotions, events and more, follow @DrizlyNola on Twitter.

Cause its the biggest party city in the state and one of the biggest in the country (not speaking of population).

I'm fairly certain beer is not included in this. By law, beer MUST be distributed via a 3rd party. Unless, that alcohol is being bought from the marketplace then sold to the individual, which is illegal as well.
Not sure how the state legislature can rightfully allow this to take place, and still keep the post-prohibition antiquated 3 tier system that ONLY beer has to follow.

They are taking jobs away from cabbies, bartenders, and local beverage stops then sending the money out of the city.
FIRST UBER AND NOW THIS.

I'm sure they have studie the market and all, but I just don't think this I a great idea. Everyone in N.O area seems to live within a very short distance of places that sell alcohol.

It's $15 off your first order. Minimum of $20. Might as well give it a shot.

Sadly, one of these delivery guys will more than likely be murdered before 2016.
