Two swirls, one near Yucatan coast and another near the west tip of Cuba.

There is a tiny circulation inside of a larger circulation.

In Navarre currently and we are supposed to check out Tuesday. Not worried about any storm surge or anything like that, I honestly want to be here and watch it all happen but I'm thinking about leaving Sunday afternoon/evening. Driving in pouring rain is a pain in the arse, and compound it with a bunch of idiots on the road. Just not sure of what to do.

Just East of Pensacola, Avalon Bch, 90 minutes from you and 14 more miles inland. On the water and we have to prepare accordingly.

Bluewater Bay (Niceville) checking in. Fully stocked with food, water, alcohol and a brand new TV to watch the Tigers.

Was supposed to head up to Navarre this afternoon decided not to. Pissed but I thought the same. Didn't want to drive back Monday in a shite storm

Conditions should start to improve tomorrow across the Gulf but it is unclear what happens to the various circulations until then. The mid level is moving across W. Cuba and the LLC is basically drifting around in the same area as earlier. The system will need to really fire some convection overnight to consolidate things or it will probably be less organized tomorrow morning than models from earlier today were showing.

Basic question I'm sure but what causes the convection to start back?
And what are the winds now?

People in the Pensacola to Destin area can relax. The 1 SOW commander at Hurlburt Field says his wife’s patio furniture is staying put. Only if they move it is when you should start to panic!

Heading to Fort Walton in the morning. If this storm keeps shifting easy I hope it continues to go east of Panama City... been looking forward to this vacation for awhile

00z plays an interesting game.
At 42 hours it looks like we have a Panhandle landfall.
JK
60 hours and basically over Dauphin Island.
ETA:
Finally inland in Mississippi at hour 72.

That’s no bueno. 72 hours of downpours is good for no one.
