You're always irrational in these weather threads.
Exactly what is irrational about what I posted?

As someone else already mentioned it's a subtropical system at this point.

Some of you are so hyped to have hurricanes destroy things that you get all wound up about thunderstorms over water.

Yep, NOLA would be fricked almost Katrina-style in this particular run.

Negative. The surge associated with this intensity and track would be less severe than Katrina. Also, 100% of the failure points that allowed flooding of NOLA proper (not NO East) are now within the protection perimeter, as should have been from the beginning.

Plaquemines, St. Bernard and NO East will still get considerable surge and energy though.

I see the track is shifting to a similar line as Katrina, that sucks, but the NOLA defenses are improved.

however... you just saw a week ago today what can happen through a quick downpour when floods came

if the storm stalls and those big rainfalls end up materializing over the city... all the usual areas that flood will flood again and water will be in homes and businesses

will it be Katrina level? not even close... but there will be significant damage done

Nah. I just want the real milk sandwich people to starve. Then maybe there will be enough to go around when we really need it.

Some were saying this was just a big eddy moving around the actual LLC. I say this IS now the LLC.
