He’s the country GOAT 1-B to George.

A lot of underrated classics mentioned, “Someday” is one I’ll add to the list.

Unpopular opinion especially residing in Texas but I’ll say it:

Alan Jackson is equal if not superior to George Strait

It’s true but nobody wants to come out and say it! Jackson writes most if not all of his songs. Strait has written basically none of his. Then let’s just talk about range. Jackson has songs for every occasion and every mood. Strait is close but just not as many fun party songs.

Monday morning church.

Incredible song. Can’t believe it hadn’t been mentioned yet.

That one pisses me off. I don’t go to a lot of concerts, but being sold the “final” bit is one I’ll never fall for again.

I saw him in 1995 at the Starplex in Dallas. He was fantastic, he just stood at the mic and sang songs but that dude really sounded good

Everything must go! Huge sale! Major discounts!

Cant wait for him to unretire next year like every other person who does this scam.

You seem angry. It clearly says he has health issues in the OP. If he does come back, good news because that means he's beaten the disease he has.

I spent some good money for George Strait last year because we'd figured he wouldn't be around forever. I am glad we did, he puts on a heck of a show.

I wish I could have seen Alan play, but such is life. If he makes another swing maybe, but I know his health isn't top notch these days.

Just a bunch of very simple songs with zero depth. Mercury? Little Bitty? His entire catalog is meh.

Go listen to Blues Man if you need depth

An absolute legend whom I've been honored to see in concert twice.

I tried to go to his benefit concert in Newnan(his hometown) for the tornado victims there back in '22 but those tickets sold out in under 5 minutes.
.

Job well done, AJ. Georgia is proud of you.

Literally just listened to that. Incredible cover.

Not every song has to have some type of profound meaning to enjoy it. Some people are strange

Both have their pluses. Jackson does have a wider range and I find his vocals to be superior.

Strait is more authentic though. Guy is actually a cowboy and I find his songs overall do have more depth. Strait just doesn’t have a bad song, they are all good and easy to listen to. Jackson is more of a honky tonk vibe while Strait is a “backroad and beer” vibe

Alan is great. I listen to his music all the time. “Drive” will choke me up almost every time. 100% relatable.

I find it odd that he does his last show in Milwaukee, rather than Atlanta.

Enjoy your life, Alan. You certainly made mine a little better.

Jim and Jack and Hank is one of my personal favorites. Also, The Older I Get really hits home as I go through life.
