The rest are basically just food, drink, and a movie. Alamo has a ton more options. TMNT 2 pizza party is one coming up soon.
I'm praying to Jesus you don't have kids and you posted that part thinking it's awesome.
Otherwise my kids would love that too.

How Is Spinosa even still a relevant developer after the clusterf$%^ that was perkins rowe. Would anyone want to really invest their hard earned money into a project run by this man? Didn't he burn saban out of millions in texas too? I dont know the guy but just seems like a guy who should give up the development game. Obviously he's prob made millions but he seems to be pretty mediocre at what he does

Seems to me he's REALLY good at fricking people over.
If you're good at something, don't do it for free.

I am frankly shocked that he hasn't gotten whacked by now.
Between some of the more powerful people he has screwed and the numerous small businessmen he drove into bankruptcy with Rouzan, I figured it would either be a contract killing or some blue collar dude driven over the edge.

Movie Tavern is what the Alamo Drafthouse would be if it sucked.

Alamo Drafthouse is old news. Hitting up Ipic tomorrow.

I love Ipic. Best example of what upscale movie theaters should be like.

I said in the original thread way back when that it would never happen. The entire thing was a scam by Spinosa to get top dollar for his place on Corporate.
If y'all aren't aware, he owned the theater that is now the Movie Tavern. He was in negotiations with Movie Tavern to buy it and they wouldn't pay his ridiculous price. So he, without mentioning the pending sale, called up the Draft House folks and got them to come to Baton Rouge. He proposed making them a smoking deal to build in Rouzan. They spent a bunch of time and money making preliminary plans. Spinosa then pushed the plans out to the media and leveraged that to get Movie Tavern to hurry up and buy to beat Draft House to the punch.
Basically, he fricked both parties over. Some will say this was shrewd business but the dishonesty of what he did says otherwise. This is akin to what he pulled with Perkins Rowe and the chilled water plant. Frankly, the fact that anyone will do business with the guy is a testament to either their stupidity or their greed. Just not sure which
Wow! Stupid and ignorant all in one little bow!

I guess Buccees is pulling out as well now

that couldnt be any further from the truth.
Ackel family owned the theater which is now movie tavern. Alamo was not called up by spinosa who magically worked a quick lease for leverage on something he didnt own. They were repped by a third party and are still looking in the BR market.

Just another example of Louisiana construction moving at a snail's pace. I think it's funny the franchise probably called his card on it.

I did thoroughly enjoy when the new owners of Perkins Rowe called him on his shite and started to build their own chilled water plant, which would have really fricked him.

They have other events that are fun, the pizza thing was the first one I could think of. He asked what set it apart, I told him. Don't get so butt hurt about it.

iPic is great. Nice bar, good food, and the "vip" seats are amazing.
