I've never gone to Ipic and gotten non vip seats. $9 more and you get all the vip perks.....worth it to me.

We saw a couple on a date there go to sit in the regular seating. Chick turned around and saw the vip seats and starts nudging guy to make him look as well. Guy asks a server if there are any open seats....nope. Shortly after that couple leaves and doesn't return. Yeah that guy fricked up date night, doubt he got laid that night. Chick did not look happy when she saw their seats vs the vip ones.

No I'm not. Someone said they were all the same. I simply answered the guy who asked what was different. I go to like 1 movie a year, I really don't care that much about them.

And the word you were looking for is "beloved"

You are right. It's like saying a holiday inn is the same thing as a Westin. Maybe not the best comparison, but there are big differences. Alamo shows more movies, Indy movies, and old movies. It's cost are very reasonable. They do have various events, though austin probably has the best ones. Honestly, Alamo was way better before it expanded. They had more events and more flexibility. They used to show TV shows an hour after they aired, like breaking bad and the walking dead. It was free, but you had to reserve a seat for $5 which went toward food or drink purchases. It was awesome, but they probably got hasselled by AMC once they found out.

It's still great and one of the best movie experiences IMO, but not as good as it once was.
