Spinosa is a POS.
Anyone doing business with him is utterly retarded.

Well if it makes you feel any better you can visit the kick-arse one they just opened near down-town Dallas.

Yes he is. That "Water is Out at Perkins Rowe" thread conjured up some jabs at Saban from me but really SPinosa's whole business ethic was summed up in that deal.
As for needing another Theater with food and drink, I think we're good with The Movie Tavern for now. Although it's getting bad reviews on service. Hope that's just growing pains and training.

Juban Crossing's Movie Tavern should be open within a month or 2.
Probably less riff-raff over there.

I said in the original thread way back when that it would never happen. The entire thing was a scam by Spinosa to get top dollar for his place on Corporate.
If y'all aren't aware, he owned the theater that is now the Movie Tavern. He was in negotiations with Movie Tavern to buy it and they wouldn't pay his ridiculous price. So he, without mentioning the pending sale, called up the Draft House folks and got them to come to Baton Rouge. He proposed making them a smoking deal to build in Rouzan. They spent a bunch of time and money making preliminary plans. Spinosa then pushed the plans out to the media and leveraged that to get Movie Tavern to hurry up and buy to beat Draft House to the punch.
Basically, he fricked both parties over. Some will say this was shrewd business but the dishonesty of what he did says otherwise. This is akin to what he pulled with Perkins Rowe and the chilled water plant. Frankly, the fact that anyone will do business with the guy is a testament to either their stupidity or their greed. Just not sure which.

Alamo is on a different playing field than Movie Tavern.

I always thought this was one of those "too good to be true" scenarios, confirmed by how there's nothing going on at the Rouzan site.
Oh, well.
Oh, well.

HOW SO, You fricking poon? It's a theater with comfy seats and food and drinks?
Give us some explanation. Are the waitress' titties bigger? The food better? A bunch of gay arse beers on tap?
FWIW I've been to the Grenada in Dallas before.
I like that the BR Tavern has this.
Movie Tavern Brunch

Beers, events always going on, policies on idiots talking or even looking at their phones, etc.
The rest are basically just food, drink, and a movie. Alamo has a ton more options. TMNT 2 pizza party is one coming up soon.

What movies do they show? Do they only show new releases or do they do movies that are already out of theaters?

BR doesn't deserve nice things.
