It wouldn't be a virus I'd be worrying about in the woods at Joe Wheeler....

Their testing is behind the curve.

Please. We folk of the border counties are civilized, erudite, and wealthy.
It's them Walker County baws in Bankhead Forest you have to worry about.
No shite, I turned the wrong way in Bankhead a few years back, and I went down a road that led to a house with no electrical connection. A horde of dogs (mostly pits) came out to inform me to get the frick out.

Funny how test results go up when you actually test...

Alabamer can’t beat this if Alabamer can’t stop sexy time with siblings. I think the life sized Nick Saban love dolls are a healthier alternative .

I know I know. But hard times call for hard sacrifices.

The percent positive has stayed roughly the same over the past week at ~10-11%, but it is going up. The number tested has continued to increase with each day.
One thing of note is that in every state that I have looked at, commercial labs are not required to report negative results. It would be better if they did.

Mobile should have cancelled Mardi Gras and Orange Beach should have cancelled Spring Break

Wait until we really start testing more people. A lot of test originally were sent to hot spots.

The death number and death growth rate seems much more important to me.
It kinda gives me a view of how things are going. I am not an expert but to me it means the more deaths we have the more people we have in ICU and and then a % of the ICUs are on vents.
Once the deaths and death growth rate starts leveling out, it means we are getting things under control one way or the other.

Wrong. My wife (no pics) is a nurse that gets updates from the alabama health department daily.
There were 99 there yesterday with 19 on vents.

The last percent that required hospitalization I saw was between 6 and 7%.

You are lucky. If it was Beat 10 in Walker County, you probably wouldn't be here to post that story today.

And upon further review, the 4:30 update yesterday for Alabama was 386 cases, not 283.

All this talk when Winston county is forgotten.
That county has always been and will always be a very strange place. I had a history professor that said whenever he was traveling south, he went around Winston county. It took me a while, but I figured out why he did that.
