Most of the OT has argued this as a penalty for years. Thoughts?

Gov. Kay Ivey is still reviewing a bill the Alabama Legislature passed that would require sex offenders whose victims are children to undergo a “chemical castration treatment” as a condition of parole, Deputy Press Secretary Lori Jhons said this morning.
Chemical castration treatment is defined in the bill as: “The receiving of medication, including, but not limited to, medroxyprogesterone acetate treatment or its chemical equivalent, that, among other things, reduces, inhibits, or blocks the production of testosterone, hormones, or other chemicals in a person’s body.”

Under Hurst’s bill, HB379, courts would order a person convicted of a sex offense involving a person younger than 13 to undergo chemical castration treatment as a condition of parole. Offenders would have to begin the treatment not less than one month before release from prison and would continue receiving the treatment until the court determined it was no longer necessary.

Can't balance a budget.
Can't maintain a road.
Can't effectively educate your kids.
BUT, we can decide whether or not you can reproduce again based off the decision of 12 citizens? What could possibly go wrong?

It has always amazed me the extreme lack of state or federal punishment for convicted pedophiles. This is a step in the right direction.

I have no problem with this.
But I do wonder what the false conviction rate is of these types of crimes. Like kids making shite up and the legal system taking their word.
Does that happen?
Because if it does, imagine getting neutered for not doing anything wrong

Pedo aren't people. Castration is being easy on them.

Is that permanent or do they have to keep taking the drug?

I’m definitely down with this.
It will make people think before they act.
Wanna be a child predator, gonna lose your junk!

Why are they getting parole?

It needs to be physical castration.

Well it would be voluntary.
Wanna get out early on parole....take the drug.
Want to keep your manhood....serve all your time.
Dont want to choose....dont molest kids.

A lot more grave consequences have been carried out over the “decision of 12 citizens”. What’s your better idea for determining guilt?
