This is more than likely the correct answer. Not appropriate behavior to do in front of players he coaches. I would've done the same thing though. Coach has to have some sort of "punishment"

Mine has been watching a lot of Cobra Kai lately and thinks he is some kind of karate man punching and kicking me. I had to sweep that leg the other day.

Eh, I did better than that in front of a crowd at a baseball game. I was playing 2nd with a right handed batter up. Runner on first goes, I go to cover the bag, and batter slaps one through the hole where I would have been. Pitchers dad is irate and yelling all kinds of shite about fielding my position and blah blah blah. I took my glove off and held it out for him and said “you come do it”

I would have gotten more than snatched up if I ever told my dad to shut up. I probably wouldn't have been able to tell him to shut up since I'd be choking on my own blood and teeth.

Disagree. Not many reasons an adult should handle a kid that way. But if your own child tells you to shut up you should be able to hand them their arse in front of everybody.
