Airport Security without Socks

Is walking thru security with your socks on just as dirty as walking thru barefoot?
You are shoving the now dirty sock back into your shoe. Walking around barefoot is disgusting.
Private jet was down for maintenance, was forced into cattle travel.

I’d like to know how you keep your shoes so pristine and germ free. I would never consider a sock ‘clean’ just because it’s only been inside my shoe.

Someday you may know what it is like to be jet poor.
The TD premium members got in a game of jet one-upmanship and many of us ended up with 747-8 VIPs and sadly are so overextended we don't have charter jet money if our Boeing is down for maintenance. It's a hard-knock life.

Are you suggesting they had people going through the entire line in their socks, or the area where they make you take off your shoes so they can scan your shoes and you have to strike a pose in your socks. If it's the later, sure it's just as dirty; but unless you are traveling with your "walk through security line socks" already on and have the spare ready to change; what are you going to do?

I have TSA pre check and global entry. I never have to take off my shoes.
And yes- walking through security in socks is gross but better than barefoot I guess.

Have you ever seen the people who walk around the plane barefoot and go to the bathroom? Talk about nasty.
