I guess we don't have many hunters on here. Never had a deer run off after being shot? Sometimes it all depends where they are shot.
And yes, adrenaline definitely helps.

This is why you shoot off the kneecap first... They will fall down to one knee then you shoot out the other one and they can't run at you.

You'd think that buckshot at the range of a few feet at the most to the chest would drop somebody immediately.
Makes me think that a semiautomatic shotgun would be the best choice for a defense weapon because you could shoot multiple rounds with one hand if you are fighting a guy off.

his dad supposedly was and I guess he blamed his mom for not stopping it. He was a pretty messed up dude from an early age though. Real anger problems and would constantly get in fights at school.

If I've learned anything playing Resident Evil, it's that someone charging you will just keep coming right through a shotgun to the chest.
You gotta aim for the leg or or arm to stagger them, then you can finish them off, preferably with a physical attack that does more damage than any gun you are holding.
This should be police training 101.

That damn jogger shouldn't have instigated this situation with these "real" men.He should have known better than to start this crap.
